Why does a movie about a little kid that supports Liverpool have a cast made up of 99% cockneys?  :D

It's because it is actually a movie made by mostly Americans for the world and to the world, English people are English people. Not many are aware that in England we have scousers, geordies, cockneys, mancunians etc etc with our unique regional accents and slightly different traditions. Plus, the movie isn't a story based in Liverpool.
