well done austria and gerrard......

why should i support England...England not that cup of tea for me and i am so glad that not much of our players involved themselves in the national duty to avoid any others injury prompt. What the f*** of sven coaching for. he's a dude. i've never pay my attention on england despite GERRARD is no doubt starting against their enemy.

1. "Liverpool" doesn't only belong to Liverpool, but England only belongs to England.
2. "Liverpool FC" is more about enjoyment, fun, personal proud etc. but England is about nationality, limited by geography. Liverpool fans are limitless, they doesnt have to be English.
3. All Liverpool players are our "friends" regardless their nationalities, but some England players are our "enemies" (to some LFC fans Owen is now an "enemy")
4. Liverpool and England are located in different dimension. Ask yourself, who do you like more: Benitez (Spain) or say Bobby Robson (England)? Your answer will be depending on the term of the question.
- Liverpool belongs to the world, the fans are probably larger than England.

I am not English, heck I am not even British. I have an affinity with England as I have lived there for a combined 7 years over 2 spells - 1975-1977 and 1998 to 1993 and I enjoyed living there. I fell in love with the Liverpool reds in 1975 and have never looked back ever since... I like to follow England's matches, but really gets dissatisfied as Gerrard has always had to compromise and not played in his best position.

I really had a laugh when Kenny scored through Ray Clemence's legs for that famous Scotland win over England in 1977 just before he joined us.

Liverpool belongs to a larger part of the world and England generally tend to belong to the English.

Also, it is hard to support England when they play such lethargic football (without fail in every major tournament except for in the 1982 world cup when England played irrepressibly and got knocked out without losing thanks to the wierd format then) and you also know that a goal or two is but one "calamity" away from James!

Liverpool fc 1st everyone else nowhere . If Gerrard had agrivated his injury against Austria it would have been disastarous.

We also have the problem when gerrard plays well for england he gets more noticed by the like of Real :angry:

england will never win anything with this muppet eriksson in charge it's as simple as that. the problem we have in this country is that the press build us up to be better than we actually are. sven is paid 4 million a year for us to turn in average performances 9 times out of 10. if the guy is so great can someone please explain to me.

1) why the hell david james is still in goal for england? a blind man could see that robinson, kirkland or even robert green are better.

2) what beckham has to do to get subbed?

3) why alan smith couldn't get a sniff whilst at leeds but now he's signed for the scum he's suddenly starting for england?

Stmike, its baffilng about Beckham isnt it? He can do f**k all and still remain on the pitch. Granted he set up the first goal but when does that guy ever put in a match winning performance that you would expect every now and again from your skipper?

first of all beckham is not captain material. he's not a leader. i'm fed up of everyone harping on about the greece game at old trafford. that was nearly THREE YEARS AGO. his relationship with sven is far too cosy for me. if he's not producing he must be subbed for the good of the team.

My problems with England:

Bias, big club players are in better position to get a shirt. Alan Smith now at Manure is number one, Emile Heskey who was always a starter under Sven now out in the cold since his move to Brummies. Would Wayne Bridge play if at Southampton??
