Why are our big names players letting us down. - Torres, rodríguez ,skrtel ,konchesky.....

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Skrtel has never been up to standard, he only had one half season which he was good at, then he was cr@p ever since. He is a very average defender with average ability and I can't believe we paid 6m for him.

Torres is a shadow of his former self, his injuries affected him and his body language is saying that he wants to go.

We are a very average side

I for one hope roy steps down, he does not deserve the :censored: he is getting at all (admittedley to start with he was poor, but in my opinion he is learning about the team and is improving)

You lot sound like Newcastle fans

We've had this problem for years.  I thinks its just a lack of professionalism at the club.  Or maybe we just need a to do a clearout, get better players in.  Who know?

can i point out that this was not a tread to have a pop at roy in, it was a threadto try and talk about why our players are no playing theway we know they can.

oh and as for the longball...............going by what was said on the radio tonight Lverpool used it less than the top 6 teams in the prem over the last 2 weeks.

so are we playing the long ball or are we jusy miss passing the ball?

the reason we're struggling is down to the fact our main goal scorer is playing sh!te. His attitude, his body language all tell me he wants out. The fact we beat Villa without Torres says it all for me.

Skrtel.............ffs the guy is starting to wind me up, he takes his eyes off the play too much, a player can turn him inside out in a sec, we have seen him play some great games, the troon got a lucky offside coal and for the rest of the game he look a :censored: player, but untill then he looked good.

Rodríguez.....oh dear oh dear, bad game for him....and he is starting to have a lot of them in truth.
easy to get past, his passing was very poor in his last two games.....but yet again can look a world beater on some days.

Konchesky......should be taken in to the woods and left there to work out what sort of player he is to be.
one day he looks great, the next he would find it hard in a sunday team...but i think he can be a great player for this club if he puts his mind to it.

we have such a problem with our players right now, we never know what ones are going to turn up on the day, you pick your best team and then it seem their look alikes turn up and play.

Torres: 22 goals in 32 games last season says you're talking rot, lad.

Skrtel: Doesn't suit man-marking and isn't exactly the perfect foil for Kyrgiakos as they are very similar.

Rodriguez: You can't expect him to have a great game when the midfield is camped in its own half. He's an attacking player who likes intricate passing-and-moving. He's also adept at drifting in at the far post, but with the set up we've got, this is akin to having a condom machine in the Vatican.

Konchesky: Is playing :censored: because he is :censored:. He should be nowhere near our team, especially over Aurelio. It's like wanting to play 'another striker' in place of Torres...  :no

I beg to differ.

Torres is not a target man but is being employed as one, the manager has one method one way of playing and he wont be changing it any time soon, its so great infact the record speaks for itself 1 win in the last 27 games away from home, 13 wins in 107 games away from home.

Torres is not a target man? ?????

lol well what is he then, he sure was when he was knocking the goals in for us the other year lol

yes i think Skyrtel big name......in our team anyway.

You need to look again, son. Torres plays off the shoulder of the last defender, and was part of a front 2 with Gerrard in his most prolific period. He is at his best when facing goal - not with his back to it. :no

Come off it! We had to clear about 6 shots off the line!

and so did they... could have been 5-0 either way and every score in between

As for Torres, since end part of last season and his 'injury' hes been pretty much useless. We've seen him getting lazy, just doesnt look as interested.

For every arguament one way theres another point of view, just depends how you wanna see it.

To say Torres was class all last season though is just naieve

Where did I say Torres was class all last season? I'm simply dispelling the theory that he was :censored: last year. The lad was out injured for half the season and still scored over 1 goal every 1.5 games.

Yep major clear out needed dude, we need to rebuild from scratch, start fresh again.

If I was the owners, I'd do that, tell the best players the plan, tell them to be patient and help in the rebuilding process.

Plus, we need a better manager to help too.
