Gotta agree with bringbacktiti on Shawn Wright-Phillips

(and not only because he is the only person to duplicate his posts more than me)

A world class Centre back wouldn't be half bad either,

Can't lose a game with a clean sheet

For me Ayala, classy commanding and very strong. Aimar would give us a great attacking option from midfield. Also Carr or Glen Johnson for right back probably dreaming a bit with Johnson but is class IMO.

we really missed the boat by not getting boumsong. it's bad enough that houllier didn't want him, but to sign for RANGERS is a real kick in the teeth. stephen carr is completely over-rated. give otsemobor a go. i was quite impressed by him when he played last season.

why do u want someone to create goals when he himself can score them ?

If we had midfielders who can score goals (and thus take the load off owen), we would not be in the mess which we were last season.

ive heard that a deal has been done to bring ballack in at the end of the month take it with a pinch of salt but he would be a great signing for us

its supposed to be one of the directors take it with a pinch of salt he was supposed to be in the audi garage and he said "take it this way there is a big german coming at the end of the month" the only big name german at the moment is ballack that i can think so fingers crossed
