Who will the new manager sell?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Theres alot of deadwood the new manager could get rid of, but first there are other considerations to take into account.

1) What sort of style will we be playin, will this player be needed, or could he be a vital backup player if there is an injury.
2) Could this player come good in the future, and would perhaps an intelligent loan deal bring this out.
3) At this time will the player attract the right amount of money.
Football is a simple game, all you have to do is pass the ball to a player in a red shirt.

I think that he will play defensively...
So, what's your opinion?

I prefer a direct approach attacking style.
Yeah, our team can pass very well in a midfield that you see the ball pass clockwise in a diamond formation. It can go on to 50 over passes and yet someone is hesitant in delivering that decisive pass into the penalty box area.
For my direct approach, the ball should always be passed from midfield into the penalty box as quickly as possible. Where our strikers will then take the initiative to run into space. Create a chance and SCORE.
Biscan, Diouf, Diao, Traore are my 1st choice to let go. The others can wait till the 2nd half of season.
Next we need to get a few new players to add depth into the squad. Not forgetting the number of titles LFC is aiming for next; EPL champ, Champ League, FA Cup; all should be going into the showcase cabinet.

I do'nt think the new manager would get rid of Owen, he would have the supporters on his back and questioning his appointment before he even got started ???

If Benetiz is hired then we will see Liverpool playing a pressing attacking game (similar to Arsenal) where we try to go a couple of goals up and finish the game off early. Benetiz sides are also fairly tough in defence.

You will surprised by the players the new manager will keep and who he sells.

Hopefully the new manager will play with alot more width than Houlliers one-dimensional sides.

WIDTH WIDTH WIDTH!

it's an absolute must in todays game if you're going to unlock defences and to be perfectly honest we have had none of it over the last few seasons. that partly explains why we rely on gerrard to get into wide positions a lot of the time and create something, even though that's not his job. manure have wingers, chelsea have wingers, arsenal have wingers. we don't and we were way behind all of them last season. what does that tell you?

we brought kewell to provide width on the left. so houllier plays him on the right. even when in his rightful position he tended to drift inside a lot of the time. with cisse's acquisition, it is vital to play with two out and out wingers next season, which means buying a right sided flyer.

Get rid of Diao, Biscan, Traore and get Mexes , also retain Babble for back up. Sell Smicer, Diouf and get Malbranque. I think this way LFC don't have to come up with lots of money to buy the mentioned players and save quite a few on their wages too- The 2 players can definitely improve our squad by at least 20%
