Celtic can be guilty of Long Ball football under O'Neill , and Leicester were known to play that style too .... hhmmmm I'm not sure  ???

I'm a little sad to be honest ... I've wanted this day to arrive for the past 2 years ... but now that it's here I'm a bit apprehensive for the future and you can't help but feel sorry for the man.

I think GH had to go but i'd like to thank him for the comitment he's shown to the club.

He came back from that Heart Op because he loved the club and even now he is still saying about his love for the club and that he'll be back at anfield as a fan. What a gent

I Wish you all the Best for the Future GH.

I second that too, I wish him all the best for the future, we shall never forget him for what he did for us, we should be grateful to him.

All the best Gerard.

i am also very grateful for houllier returning pride and discipline to the good name of liverpool football club during his five years. the 2000-2001 is a season which i will never forget.

what houllier should realise is that nobody dislikes him personally, they just feel that he is no longer the man to take this football club forward anymore, money or no money.

thanks for the memories gerard!

I sense that there are alot of guilty consciences in the forum today.  Lets not be hypocrites lads.  Most of us Houllier to get the sack.  He'll probabaly get a million bucks on his way home to France, so lets cut the ******.

The reports are that he got £1.5 million golden hand shake and a secrecy clause so he can't bad mouth the club.

i am sad to see him go, he has left me with great memories and has done a great job, but i feel it's time to move on. Moores And Houllier both spoke well in the press conference, with Moores summing up how important Gh has been for us.

Thankyou GH, good luck in the future.

BTW i really hope we get Mourinho, hope he sees the light and comes to the greatest club in England! :)
