Im glad Gerrard Houllier has gone for good, and hes left the crumbling empire of the club, in need of modernisation big time!
In the last 12 months or so he's broken some astonishing records:
1. Lost first home game of season at anfield since 1923.
2. Lost six games at home, worst run for 50 years.
3. Finishing out of the top 4 last year, something Evans/ Souness never did.
4. Last season, worst run since 1953

I think if he ever comes back to anfield, we should make him PAY FOR A TICKET to get in! for what hes done to our club.! its borderline humiliation

Anyway, although people are drawing up odds of who will be the new boss, who shouldnt be the boss is more important.
1. Alan Curbishley.
Reason: achieved nothing to date, novice manager, and no europe experience.
2. Keegan.
Reason: not a good enough manager to take liverpool to the top, no europe managerial experience, and hes a quitter.(walked out on Newcastle and England)
3. O'neil.
Reason: manages in a second rate league cause he couldnt get a top English Job to start with, and plays second rate premiership players in the Celtic side. (Sutton, Lennon etc)
4. Dalglish.
Reason: Doesnt want the Managers Job, but wants a another Job at the club which is a bit silly. He must be scared of the challenge.
5. Allardyce.
Reason: Hes ******, and won not a lot, thinks he can get class players buying up ageing veterans from abroad!! (rivaldo, Campo,Djorkiev)
6. Strachan.
Reason: Ginger hair, Ex Man Utd and has achieved nothing in the game since being a manager.

That leaves Toshack, Ranieri, Capello, Valancia coach and a couple of others.
Ill put my own Cv forward for the post, so i can dismiss Biscan, cheyrou, murphy, traore, diou, diouf and smicer.

Hee Hee!

You talk some sense Hustler, but are you really this bitter?

Did you go to the Millenium Stadium, Dortmund or Monaco? If so you would gladly pay for (as I would) tickets for Gerard Houllier to attend the game.

Get over your hatred for a man whose name you sang with pride and joy only three years ago. The man has left with dignity, and he will always be welcome at Anfield.
JUSTICE FOR THE 96

I'm puzzled why so many people seem to be dancing in the streets because Gerard Houllier has left the club.I am of the group who felt Gerard had taken the team as far as he was able, and the time had arrived to give someone else the oppurtunity to carry on;To build on the foundations that had been carefully laid by a true red fan.I didn't gloat at yesterday's proceedings, even though I welcomed them.I know the man had achieved a lot for our/his club and I wish him well in all he wants to do.I know he would receive a huge welcome the day he returns to Anfield.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.

spot on subersub, I think this sums up it up (from shanklygates.co.uk)

It may have gone stale in the end, but one thing is for sure - Gerard Houllier has written his name in Liverpool's history books.

As a supporter, Houllier brought me some of my greatest memories and some of the best days of my life and for that, I am thankful.

Allez, allez...
