I'm a big fan of Delaney at Villa. International & a versitile defender who we could buy for about £500,000. Anothers Wigans Bullard, right-sided never stops running & is available for £400,000 because of a clause in his contract. These players are proven premireship class without the pricetag. We all keep dreaming of the possible investment, but more likley Benitez will have limited funds come summer & with the world cup comes inflated transfer fees al a Diouf( i must now wash my mouth out with soap).

Barton/Bullard at the very least. I actually rate Barton quite highly. But as for striker they simply have to spend on a proven quality player.

Well irrespective of our budget we need to identify which areas of the team we need to improve before we start throwing names into the hat. For me the priorities are without a doubt a proper centre forward and a quality right sided midfield player.

These next 2 signings could really dictate whether Rafa becomes a long term success or another Houllier. We have built a strong base in that we have a well balanced squad and we are playing too a particular footballing philosophy, but now we need to take a step up. These next 2 signing must be players ready to come straight into the first team and improve our first 11, they can really help us take a couple of steps up.

It wouldn’t bother me at all if we only made 2 signings this summer, as long as they are 2 quality players who ate ready to add to the first 11.

I agree with you CHL, a Striker and a Right sided midfielder is our top priority right now

we aren't skint we wil get owen, ronaldo joaquin and aurellio. Maybe aimar. we will get rid of cisse, morientes, fowler, garcia.

Pongo will be back, if we dont get ronaldo then villa will be a good shout

According to a few reports, Rafa is supposed to get the money he requested. Lets hope all that is true. We should also get some money by selling a few players.

I would like to see players like Dirk Kuyt, who is a proven goal scorer and get Michael Owen back to Anfield.
