Yes I want the best. I want the one who is best equipped to win us the title sometime in the next five years (assuming that this particular five year plan isn't going to throw up the title).
I don't think there is a manager out there who could "snap his fingers" and win us the title. It always amazes me that we gave Houllier five years or so, Rafa has had five years but if you start to get itchy anythings regarding the manager, anyone you suggest has to be able to "snap their fingers and bring us the title".
I want to get the bloke in though, or a bloke in who I think has a realistic chance to win us the title some time soon. Like I say though, the time to debate that is in my estimation probably two seasons on fom this one.

It maybe the Bundesliga where Karl Heinz Ruminge could be doing a stirling job keeping FC Oberamagau out of the relegation struggle in the third division. It could be Serie B, where Franco Baresi might have steered Sicily into the Italian Cup quarter finals against all the odds, or Ghana where a studious Tony Yeboah has steered the Alsass Young boys to their first title in 39 years, narrowly defeating the George Weah's cousin coached Kaiser Chiefs in the final of the African Champions League along the way.
The reality is, none of us have much of a clue outside of England and Spain (and indeed many of us don't even have a clue there to tell the truth). The 'public eye" really depends on where "the public" are.

All my own sh!te Baz, I'm not a nicker of other people's nonsense, no point when you're full of it yourself.
Look as I've said a few times, it's all academic anyway as it appears the yanks will give Rafa a new contract. I personally don't think we should do that.
There is one absolutely outstanding candidate, and we should go get him. Before somebody else does.

We need someone with experience at the top level and preferably someone who has won things,European pedigree would be a bonus!
Just think.... if rafa could apply for his own job he'd tick all the boxes, strange that!
Anyway this thread is premature and totally hypothetical, cause I doubt he's going anywhere!
