We need someone with experience at the top level and preferably someone who has won things,European pedigree would be a bonus!
Just think.... if rafa could apply for his own job he'd tick all the boxes, strange that!

Anyway this thread is premature and totally hypothetical, cause I doubt he's going anywhere!

Ive won loads at bingo, Ive got European pedigree, Ive got experience of coaching an watching footie, What more do you want

An Mick stop beggin me before someone else  snaps me up :;):

:D  Ah well feck it then, if Nan won't take the job we might as well keep Rafa  :help

Academic as Rafa gets another two seasons after this one. If we did make the move though, as we all know there is one absolutely outstanding candidate. If we didn't get him, then we'd have to do what all other clubs in the World do when they need a new manager, look around a bit. We could do some interviews, that's usually a good starting point.

My biggest fear is this .

We are playing spurs on the last game of the season ,and we need to win to win the league and all i can read on this forum is . If we lose this and finish second  rafa should be sacked and not . God i hope we win and show the mancs , but what a great season anyway , Rafa's really done us proud . Know where i'm coming from ? I didn't vote by the way as it's a very silly poll .

I wouldn't be fearful of that scenario Igor, if we get that close it's a triumph for the team and the manager, regardless of the result in the last match. I'd take that as of now in a heartbeat.

well i for one will be saying the second bit mate - if we get to that stage and fail at the last hurdle then we have improved greatly and getting closer .

That I agree with 100%. If we take it to the last match then we have improved, there can't be any argument. FWIW I think we've improved anyway and I don't there's any argument about that even now (that's the team, NOT the squad). Not enough though, and I don't think we'll take it down to the last match.

i honestly cant see it going down to the last match i think it will be over with one or two games to play and we will end up 4-6 points behind the mancs - but even that itslef is an improvement
