I think the reports are correct. I just hope Rafa thinks highly enough of him to make a move for him. Also we need to get rid of the dross first so that all goes to plan.

Yeah the Arda reports are true.

Rafa has got to take this oppertunity to get him. He has him on a plate. In my opinion he is better than any other winger we have at the moment.

Its just about raising the funds to get him.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease Rafa get Arda!!

I know nothing about this guy Arda but if he is a geniune winger then great, let's buy him. That could free up Kuyt to play as a CF when Torres is rested/injured. We also have Riera coming back so we would have plenty of wide options available.

Kris Boyd is scoring goals for fun at Rangers this season...worth a punt as a back up striker. You certainly wouldn't get the running from him that you do from Torres but he certainly knows where the back of the net is!!

Would be cheap as Rangers are crippled financially. Oh wait a minute, so are we, oopps

Heskey will prob come back. He's one of those players that none of us think is that good but rafa is probably wetting his pants over. Then we will get Arda hopefully though im sure rafa will buy another CB to make sure if we loose 9 CB's from injury we still have 2 left.

Is Gourcuff completely unrealistic?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

Hell yes mate. Id be very surprised if we were able to get him, way out of our price range as things stand. Put it this way if we could afford him we would have Silva by now.

From The Times January 1, 2010

Liverpool facing fight to land Argentina winger Maxi Rodríguez

Liverpool have made an approach for Maxi Rodríguez but face competition from Boca Juniors,
the Argentine club. The Atlético Madrid winger, who is out of contract in the summer, has
twice met Enrique Cerezo, the Spanish club's president, recently to discuss his future over
concerns that he is not playing regularly. He wants a place in Argentina’s World Cup squad.

Too much sugar in those fizzy drinks these days I never touch em you see.  :p

Lennon has done well you can't argue with that. He has pace and some skill going past players but at times can be clumsy with his passing and end product.

Wouldn't mind him here. Would mean Kuyt would have to find a new position.  :p

I think Van Nistelrooy and Maxi Rodriguez sound like the most likely of the rumours to be true.  They sound like the right type of players for us in terms of financial cost and likely availability but with the required quality to make an impact here.  That's not to say we'll get them, sounds like Madrid are wanting us to pay Van Nistelrooy's 100k wages for a 6 month loan, whereas we're unwilling to pay all of it if reports are true.  I wouldn't be surprised if one of them ended up signing though.

The Pandev rumour excites me the most, whereas a few reported links to Aiden McGeady of Celtic I find very interesting - he's still very young, best SPL player by a mile, vastly improved this season with better end product, and has CL and International experience for such a young age.  Crucially he's excellent at carrying the ball and holding possession - something we lack without an in-form Benayoun.
