Since we are talking about Aston Villa and strikers, Agbronlahor is not a bad idea.Pandev from Lazio was also a good idea.He is about a 15 mil worth player but since that conflict with Lazio and since he isnt playing anymore for them, 12 mil would be enough for him, maybu even too much.

Agbonlahor is a no go. Villa won't sell him. However, agree with pandev. The only question...do we have enough money come January and who's going to be Rafa's target?

Wouldn't go for ANY villa player as the leprechaun will try and bleed us dry every time. He'd want £10m for Heskey, £30m for Young or Milner, £20m for Agbonlahor and probably £5m for their kitman!

Well then im all out =D.Agbronlahor was my only idea of not so expensive but a good player.I cant think of anyone else at the moment.But I still think that Pandev is a good idea.But theres one thing that I dont understad - why did Rafa gave back Keane?If the money were a problem then ok,I gues, but if it was something else, then it is a big mistake to give such a good player, and not find a good replacment for him.I think that we would have won the title if he stayed on the team, but since he didnt, now we dont have the title, we have only one striker, and we dont have any money to buy another striker.

I would take Pavlyuchenko as backup.. only thing is he is backup at Tottenham and wants first team football. He wouldnt get that here.

If Rafa can sell Dossena/Voronin/Babel to get enough funds for Mata or Lavezzi then we are sorted

From what I read of Toure's and his agent's comments, he's looking instead at a "big club" and doesn't seem to think, for example, Citeh with all their millions (or billions !) is good enough for him. Now, I'll gove him the point that Citeh are not a long-established superpower and are only in the news 'cos of some drunken money-bags Arab with nowt else to do with his dosh, but it would seem that Toure is angling for a move to Real, AC or Inter, or one of those "supposedly" bigger clubs. I can't recall anything specifically excluding LFC, but I think the guy has a superinflated opinion of himself...

I am not overly keen on swapping players where the club involved actually wants the player. We might pay Barcelona say £13m for one of their players and get £25m for Mascherano. If we did it as a swap they might offer said £13m player plus £7m cash and shaft us for £5m.

Only time I ever do it on footy management is when I want shot of the player and noone will buy, if a club is interested then hike up the price and keep deals for their players separate.
