So far, Baros.

Does anyone notice that for all of the French legion in the squad, none of them made it to the French national team? This shows what a cr@p French lot we have. Just make me wonder what made the departed Le Toad splash out on them in the first place...

Fair comment but to give it balance, Henchoz, Baros, Smicer and Hamann (All Houllier buys) were ...... :D

So far, for me Baros has been the best player of the tournament and i expect him to win the Golden Boot. He played really well in Czech's first 3 games and scored in all three of them. I heard people saying he is selfish and tries to take on the whole team, but if you've seen the last 5 or 6 Czech Republic's games you should have noticed that he is passing and is not afraid to hold up the ball to wait for support.

With the way he is playing he should get a regular first team spot at Liverpool!!!

I agree and he will only get better under a manager who will utilise his ability.

Baros was my favourite LFC player since 2002/03 it puzzles me why Houllier  did'nt play him more often after he scored against Leeds...oh well mybe this season he'll get a chance. :;):

He is your favourite player and you voted for Smicer for being the best in the tournament so far.

Yeah they can, as I would suggest against weaker teams we could use a 433 formation to shatter their defence.
I don't see this as likely though because Benitez likes to use his wingers.

Stu your right I posted it as a sneaky way of proving my point about too many games in the premiership for England and now France to do well in tournaments.  Baros is playing so well above the rest because he has'nt played much at all in the past season, he looks super fit every other premiership player bar Cole and Nevile look jaded.

the czech players look fine, they play all over europe
the dutch look fine they play all over europe
portugese are doing ok,as are the swedes, the danes
it comes down to ability, luck, good play, bad play....I certainly don't except too much football, season too long, the poor lads are worked too hard, not enough time to do our self promotional money-making advert time. How can I get to the big showbiz bash when footy gets in the way.
