Easy. Stick him in the middle - his best position!

He can make most positions his own, he is that good a player. But I don't see why so many people are quick to dismiss him on the right. Didn't he score 23 goals in 1 season playing on the right?

You dont have a world class central midfielder and stick him out wide! his best position is in the middle.

He was great when he was played out wide as well. The "gerrard in the middle" campaign was just something the media made up to cause unrest at the club. Most of the time he played there he had a free role where he could roam as he pleased.

When he played out wide we had better (in terms of discipline and game control) midfielders, now we have only mediocre options. he needs to be somewhere in the middle.
