I heard Mauricio Pellegrino will be Liverpool player tomorrow, but to be honestly with you all that I don't really know much about him so let's wait and see about Mauricio. I do have faith in Rafa because he know that player, that's fair enough to me.

Nothing wrong with 33, look at Gary McAllister that Mr Houllier signed him when he was 35 or something like that, what happened to him after we signed him, so we won FA Cup, UEFA Cup, League Cup, European Super Cup, Charity Shield and we came second in the Premiership.

Mauricio Pellegrino might be a good signing, you never know that and it would be good for young players like Zak Whitbread, David Rven to learn from Mauricio.

i think pellegrino will be our lauren blanc. benitez is bringing in a free, experienced quality player who i believe will give us one or two seasons of good service while the young lads are got ready.

Jokes apart , so waht if he is 33  tho.............just look at the Arsenal back 4  up until recently  , Adams, Keown and co . average age when Adams retired ? 35 ? Keown  still playing!
Lets not forget  Paul MacGrath or Denise ...........(sod it i still cant remeber his name   ) thingy who played for the scum up to the age of 37 , 38 ?
Defenders last longer these days  cos of the diet and training used by the managers , unlike the days of old  when it was a meat pie and a pint after training

this is driving me up the wall at the moment !
As long as he gets a striker - don't really care who it is (in that I mean I trust the manager because of who he's bought already)
But we definitely need another quality striker !
As for the defender we've supposedly just got - we need cover for Sami & JC
I've already said all this on another thread - Rafa know's the player & he seems to have won everything domestically - so I think it will prove a shrewed bit of business
even if it is just for a season or 2
