Too negative for me.  Why use all three cb's when we have no backups

Why is that negative, useing three center backs dosn't mean defensive football, I know what you mean about cover but buy someone else then, we have no world class full back or wingers so disolve the problem of needing four with two and play as many of our world class midfeild as possible, think Babel and Yossi will fit in better in this formation also!!!!

It would never work in the premier league, maybe in some CL games.  You need to have two strikers on the field, I think Torres would get shut down too easily.

REINA
ARBELODA            CARRA              AGGER         AURELIO

                 GERRARD         MASCH        ALONSO

                             BABEL              YOSSI

                                      TORRES

SUBS:   SKRTEL,  PENNANT,  CROUCH,  LUCAS,  KEWELL

I'D USE THIS FORMATION BECAUSE WE UTILISE ALL BEST OUR PLAYERS IN POSITIONS THAT SUITS THEM  BEST N WE CAN USE THE FULL BACKS FOR WIDTH AND COME THE SUMMER BUY SOME PROPER FULL BACKS ABLE TO ATTACK SEEING AS WINGERS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN
WE ALSO HAVE PENNANT AND KEWELL IN SQUAD INCASE WE NEED CHANGE THINGS A LITTLE AND THEY'RE HAPPY TO WAIT FOR THEIR CHANCES ONE MORE DECENT STRIKER WOULD BE NICE IN SUMMER AND FILL REST OF SQUAD PLACES WITH YOUTH OR RESERVE SQUAD PLAYERS, GIVE THEM THEIR CHANCE

i'd go with

                      Reina

       Finnan   Carra  Agger  Skrtel

      Gerrard  Mash  Alonso  Kewell

                 Torres  Babel

Nice and solid at the back
More balance in the middle with Alonso beside Mash
Gerrard offering more of a goal threat outwide
Lots of pace and directness up front

Based on the teams submitted so far an LFC team fielded by newkit collective loks like this.

.                                        Reina

.  Finnan              Carragher          Agger                Arbeloa

.  Pennant            Gerrard             Mascherano        Kewell

.                            Torres        Babel

Alonso received one more vote that Pennant but as Gerrard/Mascherano were the clear preferred choices at CM  Pennant is in by default.

Aurelio was the third choice fullback

Riise got the same number of votes as Skrtel

Only a third of those that chose Babel had him at WM two thirds had him as a striker

Crouch got half the amount of votes Babel received but twice as many as Kuyt

Lucas only received two votes and Benayoun 1

Hypia and Voronin did not recieve any votes.

Reina

   Arbeloa         Carragher          Agger             Aurelio

Gerrard             Alonso           Mascherano           Kewell

                         Torres        Babel

Kewell weakest link in that side IMO.

with agger injured i would have skretel at the back and i choose yossi upfront because he is like a raul type of player when he plays there. he gets on to near enough every rebound and can score many goals....i would give him a go upfront with torres as he use to play there a few years back.

                      reina

finnan    carragherr   skretel      arbeloa

pennant   gerrard   mashcerano  kewell

               yossi    torres

I'd go with this.

Possibly include Aurelio in place of Arbeloa, but that's purely because I think he has more ability, rather than that he's SHOWN more.

For me our best 11 is

         Clemence
Neal  Hansen  Thompson Kennedy
Lee   Souness  McDermott  Kennedy
        Dalglish   Johnson

The winning team of the 1981 European Cup.  Best team ever!

Sorry.. is that not what you meant?
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

---------------Reina------------------
--------------------------------------
Finnan----Carragher--Agger----Arbeloa
--------------------------------------
Gerrard---Mascherano---Alonso---Babel
--------------------------------------
-------Benayoun----------------------
---------------Torres-----------------

I'd rather have Babel as supersub, but that would leave a poor selection to play LM. Could always swap Benayoun and Babel
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Reina
Finnan
Agger
Carragher
Arbeloa
Pennant
Gerrard
Lucas
Babel
Crouch
Torres

bench: Martin, Threlfall (recall from hereford) Anderson (recall from swansea) Hammill (recall from Southampton) Linfield
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.
