Now GH has gone, what will happen to Phil Thompson and other their coaches too?

I hope we keep Sammy Lee, he's an excellent coach.

All depends on the new man. A foreign coach may want to keep a scouse element on the coaching team. Someone like O'neil will bring in Robertson and the rest of his backroom team.

My feeling is that Thommo will go no matter who comes in. Sammy Lee will stay.

Any chance of Steve Heighway being promoted to take over from Big Nose ???

I agree with you again...but Liverpool board are not keen about that, so that's the problem, mate.

I don't see why it should be such a problem. I think it is important for a Manager top be able to do things HIS way. Houllier was always able to do this. So should the new boss.

Would MON want rid of Sammy Lee/Steve Heighway? I'm not sure. I would like to see them stay but only time will tell. If the board believe in MON then they will let him have his say. The press indicates that MON is not a front-runner for the job which is a surprise to me. However, the bookie still have him at 7-2 which is hardly a long-shot.

i think it's fair enough to say that phil thompson will be on his way now that houllier has gone.

I agree, i think thommo has had a fair crack too, and its only right for the new guy to want to bring in his own choice of assistant, i would also like to see joe corrigan shown the door? and if we do need a goalkeeping coach lets aim high someone like clemence, or seaman would be a good choice?. ???

In all the furore everybody has forgot about Thommo, another fine servant to Liverpool, and nobody should forget this.

I think Thommo will leave before the weekend.  Tomorrow's media are going to be full of everything we have all been speaking about tonight.

He's a fantastic defensive coach.

One of the best.

He should definately stay. I ain't gonna be gutted if he ends up as the new manager. :)

I think Thommo will go because a new manager always brings the staff he's comfortable with.I do believe Sammy Lee will keep his job.
