What do you want? - What is your aspirations for liverpool?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby zythums » Mon Mar 15, 2004 8:18 am

I have been a Liverpool fan since the 80s.. can't help it, they were playing such beautiful soccer. I miss that style, that flair.

That's all I want. I don't care whether Liverpool gets into Europe. Whether they are top of the league or not. I just want to feel the excitement all over again. 11 Liverpool players going out 100%, with pride, attacking the other team with INTENT, defending as a unit, etc. That's all I ever want.

What do you want? If Liverpool do well (by your standards), but play conservative boring soccer, are you happy?

And yes I agree with those who wants GH out. With GH, Liverpool will never play good football. NEVER.

I want several things from Liverpool. I have also been supporting the Reds since the 80's and I have seen a dramatic change. I have a season ticket and whereas I used to enjoy looking forward to the weekend, I now dont even care when we next play. All I see is a load of missfits who have no ambition or sence of working as part of a team. Houllier has basically ruined Liverpool football club. I cant stand it when everyone sais that he kicked out the rubbish and started afresh. What he did is kick out all players who may have enjoyed a personnal life and enjoyed life to the max. Knowone can tell me that emile Heskey has a ounce of the class that Fowler has but he sells Fowler. He didn't even play Fowler when he was fit. He has been given all the money god send and he buys rubbish. If Roy Evans had of been given this type of investment then I think we would still see the old Liverpool.
Out with the french revolution and back with the british.

Lets face it! Liverpool Football Club have a s##t team playing in the premiership.

We have several good quality players but the truth is we have too many poor players.  The problem is simply that the current manager is not good enough to manage the team.  Liverpool Fc is one off the biggest clubs in world football yet we have a mediocre manager.  The board are being loyal to Gh and disloyal to every manager before him who strived to make the club one of the worlds best.  What do I want? read below I've said it since joining this forum and its been my motto for over two years now.

losing to Southampton 2-0 is a disgrace . We did have chances and Owen missed 3 . One off the post , a penalty , and another one . You could say we didnt have any luck but its deeper than that .

I couldn't give a s##t about the UEFA Champion's League. But we have to be in it because it brings in the money if a team has a good run.

All I want is the FA Premiership Title.

What do we want? A team who do their best, play attacking football, excite the fans and one which is capable of competing to win the title. We don't need UEFA cup runs or Worthington Cups.......we want to be in with a shout of winning the league with a few games to go.

We don't want to be writing off our chances in October, as Houllier did.

The holy grail for me is reclaiming the League Championship. UTD and Arsenal are closing in our record.

Of course I'd like us to win everything going, but right now the Championship has to be the No. 1 priority.

I want a team that's capable of challenging for the title year in year out, not settling for being amongst the also rans and claiming that's acceptable.

A team that plays the kind of football that gets you looking forward to the next game, that plays with a bit of heart and pride in the shirt and gives the fans something to be proud of again. (Christ, seems like a bloody long time since we had a team like that!!)

If we're ever good enough to win the title then we'll be there or thereabouts in the Champions League and win the other cups on a regular basis too.

yeah the league is what i want to. i was at anfield when we last won the trophy in 1990 and it was fantastic. at the very least, with the players we've got we should be competing to the death. i also want a new manager because at least then we may start playing somen attacking football. i was watching an old video of the 1992-93 season last night and although we won nothing we played some fantastic football with pace and ultimately a lot of width. at the moment we are capable of making any potentially cracking game boring.

UTD and Arsenal are closing in our record.

Oh my God!!!

I know what you mean!!! I've been using that "We've won the League 18 times" s##t since I was ten years old.

That's been my major bragging point when I've seen W*nkchester United, Arsenal and even Blackburn Rovers take OUR FRICKIN' TITLE!!!!.

We've got to stop those ba#ta#ds overtaking our record!!!

*takes deep breath and relaxes*

the only thing that will stop them overtaking our record at the moment is themselves. we certainly ain't gonna do it.
