I'll be honest.
I am a passionate fan who gets riled, frustrated, elated, shouts, crys, screams and laughs. I love it. And I can go from cursing a player and wishing him a painful slow death to praising him and wanting to bear his children in a heartbeat
But I have never, and will never boo.
It is lazy, foolish and pathetic. It adds nothing positive and shows the players and others watching how ignorant and stupid and dis-united you are. On another level you are booing yourself for being associated with those you are booing. Of course you could argue you have a right as a paying customer to show how disappointed and upset you are. But it is, for me, below what I believe is acceptable behaviour from LFC supporters. Maybe Ive got ideas above my station. But this is because I have been spoiled with success decade after decade and brought up with the principles of Shankly. Fair play, honour, dignity. But above all and unshakeable loyalty to my team which makes me who I am as much as where I come from.

I totally agree about booing the team - IT SIMPLY SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!

When I was in my teens it cost me a considerably lesser proportion of my wages, to go to the match, than it does now. With ticket prices not far off £40 is it surprising that people are getting frustrated. If we go to the match as a family it can cost over £300 for 4 tickets, programmes, pre match drink and a post match meal as well as travelling expenses.

I have never left early or booed the team but I am beginning to wonder if a bunch of overpaid prima donnas with limited talent, and I include the manager, are really worthy of our unconditional support?

I prefer playing players in their usual position as this is where they tend to be strongest and best. Obviously Kuyt is an exception but Left Out is not really a position.

Will agree Saint - agger is a classy playing CB and thats where he is at his best - why play him left back when we have two better left backs than him and why play him Midfield when we have plenty of cm as it is .

Abd will agree will Nanny - great post Sir Rog - booing is wrong and does nothing to help the players .

Let me ask people who condone booing this:
If the supporters would have booed the team at half time in Istanbul would it have helped the situation and spurred the players on?
I think not
The crowd got fully behind the players and inspired them
And we all know what happened then...

I too am listening, so just keep preaching the good word to the masses mate :D

Booing your own team is quite frankly unacceptable and can lead to nothing good imo.
