I don't believe Kuijt will be going anywhere in January. PSV are waiting for the lad to play a blinding World Cup and only then will they cash in. They would be idiots to sell him. A lot of clubs will be diggning their heels to keep their stars in the hope that a good World Cup will bring in another 3-4-5 mill to a players valuation.

Just look what one bloody game against France did to Diouf's transfer value!

We fortunately signed Diouf just before the World cup.Christ knows how much we would have paid after it.

Really? I was pretty sure we didn't tie the deal up till afterwards?
I can remember Houllier claiming we had it done before the tournament but am sure that was said just to dodge any claims we had bought him at an inflated price after just one good game for the national team.

You could be right mate.It certainly wasnt announced before the World cup,might have just been a rumour.

Diouff was signed before the world cup, well in principle, paperwork not done til after.
And he did have a great world cup. i dunno where he went wrong, but i was so happy to have brought him at the time... obviosuly with hindsight i feel justa  bit different but lets not forget he did have a great world cup and we signed him before that
