Its looking more and more like Alonso isnt it? Never really seen much of him but if Rafa rates him then thats good enough for me. Hopefully he can bring that extra bit of flair we have been lacking for a while if we get him?

A class player but dont think hes the flair option I still think were missing on the right hand side.

I repeat myself but someone to link up with the right defender would suit me

Im a fan of Simon Davies good crosser and good engine and would work hard
Wright Philips is a good player as well

Agree that we do need a player with a good engine who can not only attack but put the work in when defending on the right. I always liked Didier Agathe and i think if we could sign someone in the same mould as him that would be great.

Im thinking now Alonso and Gerrard both solid midfielders with skills

If the right and left hand sides are sorted with good midfielders and defenders we have the basis of a solid passing attacking team capable of different attacking angles and not scared of helping out in defence.

Still concerned with the lack of pace in the middle of defence but we might just get away with it

It is that elusive right hand side

So you were right Hustler, so what? Other people have been right before too. They didn't feel the need to go and start its on thread did it. Its fine to be critical of the team as long as its constructive but abusing players personally and gloating when you're team losers just isn't right. Pull yourself together man!
