We will beat ac milan! - Here is why....

After the Milan and PSV game, I am sure Benitez's analytical eye will tell him that we will stand a very good chance of beating Milan in the final.

Reason is because Hiddink totally exposed the Rossoneri's main weakness - Their ageing defense of Paolo Maldini (36), Nesta (29), Cafu (34) and Jaap Stam (32).

While they have tremendous experience, the back four had trouble dealing with PSV's pace, especially that of Lee, farfan and Park. They were unsettled by this high-tempo approach.

This is an encouraging sign for us. Milan may have the big names but at this stage of the competition, big names don't count. Star players like Shevchenko, Gattuso and Seedorf all had poor games.

My gut feeling tells me that RB will opt for an attacking line up. As it is on a mutual ground, there would not be any advantages coming from the fans. We should try and hit them hard for the first 20mins, push the game to the max with high attacking tempo. Grab a goal and drop deep. After that it is down to tactical movement. Once we drop deep, Baros or Cisse will be playing as lone striker, we should be able to hit them with a counter with Garcia, Gerrard and Riise charging.

My prediction will be 2-1.

I agree, the tactic of attacking hard for the first 20 mins and then defending although risky has been very affective in europe for us this season. I think it will pay off agaist milan because they did not seem that good in attack against PSV. Maybe they were just trying to defend their 2-0 first leg win but i didn't think they looked like scoring for most of the game. For all the big names in the team i think they just got stage fright (our players take note).

Obviously in the end they did score (dodgy goalkeeping IMO) this was lucky for us because the way PSV attacked the other night i wouldn't have fancied them at all.

Aren't all games on a mutual ground.  Otherwise, it'd be too easy to score.

Well spotted. The fact we don't have a pacey team either hasn't occurred to you though?

the reason why we were so good in champions league is because we just played our own game...we dont have to worry about the opposition.....

I am sure rafa will know how to beat milan.
