Yeah but satisfaction is not guarenteed by just medals. Players like to play and even in the happiest club atmospheres, there is jealousy, envy and competition. Players like Huth, Johnson, Cudiccini, Parker and Bridge will not stay content forever, just by playing bit parts. It's like asking Ian Mackellen to understudy Patrick Stewart. The occassional time under the spotlight in league cup games will not satisfy their needs. End of the day, some will want to leave and I wouldn't mind giving a couple of those names a chance to shine in a red shirt.

Are you kidding? Some of the best acting I've ever seen has been on the pitch. All that feined innocence and dramatic diving is worthy of Stalone, Willis and Gov'ner Arnie.

Oh granted that those names are hardly thespians and it would be a travesty to allow them to play the Scot or the Dane withen the globe, but could you imagine Judi Dench taking on Mr T or Colin Firth diving out of a sky scraper. Footballer's acting is dirty and low, so that's why I used those examples.

bridge flatters to decieve.  there a reason why he can't get a regular spot at CHelsea and why he can't push A.Cole from the englands spot.

Hes the type that looks good in a poor team... like Southampton.
