Last night's results are worth considering when seeing the value of a motivational manager, which we DO NOT have. The Mancs came out fighting and there was never any doubt as to the result. Madrid threw in the towel and never played as a team.

You can have the biggest kitty in the world, spend more money than anyone else, have the biggest stadium full to the brim but without that motivation it's worth nothing.

F*cking hell, you talk some balls, fella.

How the f*ck is there a managerial job going at Madrid when the board has just publically stated that Pellegrini's job is not under threat? Suprise, f*cking surprise, I just knew the bullsh*tters were going to latch onto the Madrid scenario and try to draw some kind of mad parallell to our own situation. W*ankers!

In fairness Emerald, it's all cloak and daggers with Madrid.  They'll have a shortlist of managers for next season drawn up already no matter what nonsense they come out with publicly.

If you buy Ronaldo, Kaka, Albiol, Alonso and Benzema at once then second in la liga and out in the first CL knockout round will be seen as a major failure for Madrid.  Pellegrini won't be there next season, I'd bet my house on it.  He doesn't have any tactics.  They have no shape and Kaka and Ronaldo just wander about doing whatever the fu.ck they like.  Great players, awful team.

Madrid don't f*ck about when it comes to sacking or replacing managers. If Pelligrini's job is up for grabs, it will be in the summer. Doesn't matter anyway. I don't see what relevance there is regarding us.

Ok let me tell you what the relevance of real Madrid is to us Emerald, one word, RAFA.
They want Rafa and they will get Rafa and what is more they will in my opinion be bloody welcome to Rafa and the beautiful thing is it won't cost us a penny.  :D

For f'ucks Fu*king sake!
Do us all a favour and  dont contradict or disagree with things you dont know about.
Watch the Fu*king match, form an opinion and then argue your corner.
Ya daft coont

lol... oh dear.

Way to completely lose context... ohh woopeee the worlds most clinical striker Torres missed two chances in one game so lets slate him and say he was sh'ite.

You're a knee jerk simpleton.

I have seen 37 games live this season.. and my points are based on the collective... not a solitary game which i openly stated i didn't see (could have said nothing) but i did so for the reason my comments are formed on 8 months viewing. No doubt if one of our other three top players (Pepe) lets one slip through his hands against Lille you will go on a whiny rant about our woes and throw in that "Pepe was sh'ite".

keep it in context.... repeat x 100

Identify and pinpoint the weakness in the team, not slate the very few stars.

The problem with many "experts" on forums is that the vast majority put forward original research. ie.their own hypothesis/ideas with zero regard for evidence/stats/independent match analysis/reports. If Gerrard states hes "devastated" Alonso is gone and goes on to say we have missed his creative passing from midfield, which as a result means the attacking players ain't getting the same service as previous.... then TAKE THAT ONBOARD... let it register.... slowly if need be... then with that knowledge digested put forward a more educated viewpoint.

Look at the idiot who starts a thread Gerrard is finished... on the basis of???... on the basis of??? Then says he's nearly 30 so he getting on abit...  GENIUS! Again, such clueless viewpoints based on an imaginary hypothesis is childlike.

Gerrard is playing in an inferior team from last season (which he's stated) and is not getting the service, as EVERYTHING went through Alonso (which Aquilani stated) and that supply has been ripped out of the team, and not been replaced... as the toothless lucas has filled in.... hence Gerrard/Torres are not getting the service of last season. This is verified fact based on evidence of chances created, shots attempted, and the quotation from the horses mouth of the very man in question.

Someone stated our defence was sh'it against Lyon as we conceded 2 at home... overlooking the fact they had 17 shots and the defence done brilliantly to restrict them to just two as our now diabolical midfield was over run and no longer control/dictate games.

The best method of putting forward an opinion is trying to be as neutral as possible, and having prior knowledge on whatever it is you have an opinion on... rather than the biased/rose tinted BS and based on something you have no knowledge of.

Ha ha touched a nerve there have I?
By the way I am far from being a simpleton and you are being very naughty by repeating that I am saying Torres was sh'ite. I have already corrected you by saying that I said he was sh'ite in that game by his own very high standards.

I really do appreciate your advice. Especially this part:
"The best method of putting forward an opinion is trying to be as neutral as possible, and having prior knowledge on whatever it is you have an opinion on"
But then I think about this:
"I will be honest... i didnt see the game yesterday.. only read/heard the reports that lucas was shocking, and saw the highlights today which is when i seen Torres had two chances... one into the side of post/net and the other he blazed over.
So.. u may have a point he wasnt at his best yesterday...."
And I just cant help laughing out loud...

No good players will want to sign for us now. There are plenty of problems for us. None more so than our complete lack of ability to tackle players and win the ball back. Insua is such a liability 87% of the time and Lucas chooses to jog back when we get countered rather than pulling his :censored: finger out and running. Carra has steeply declined in every way and our formation is so out of date a :censored: girl scouts team could work out how to counter it.

Im sorry Rafa you've tried hard and im sure next season we'll do alot better but i feel an attacking 4-4-2 is needed and its beyond obvious. Gerrard back in CMF and Kuyt to play alongsde Torres and not to drop back and maybe finally we can attack with some variety. Mourinho would be so good for us. Maybe tacktically he may be bad but he gets so much out of players.

You're ALWAYS down in the dumps as regards LFC, Heimdall. You were probably ready for slitting your wrists at the state of the club 5 minutes after Dudek's peno save from Shevchenko back in '05.

I honestly couldn't live like you f*ckers. How you don't just top yourselves is beyond me. Misery, hate and f*cking bile, day in, day out.
Unreal. :no

We will still be in the Premiership next season. We'll still play in the FA Cup and the Carling Cup. It's a World Cup year and Torres, Pepe and Riera all have a great chance of being crowned the best on the planet. This is one season. We have progressed every year for the past 5 and now, because a series of sh*t circumstances have conspired against us and knocked us out of our stride, everyone wants to throw the towel in and lynch the manager. There's no disdain for the refs who have robbed us all season long. There are no concessions for the ridiculous injuries we've had since day one. No-one cares about circumstances like the beach ball - it's all Rafa. He should be able to turn the confidence of the team around, even when everything else (including fate, it would seem) is against us.

Well I'm sorry, but I don't buy into that mentality. I believe that Rafa will turn this around once we work through the rut we're in.

That's all it is - a rut. You don't go from belting 8 goals past Real and the Scum to being utter W*nk without outside influences.

As soon as Lady Luck remembers where she left us, Rafa'll sort it, if he gets the chance.

1)Gago as a RW
2)Ramos as a LW
3)Drops Ronaldo becos he cannot play between lines.
4)Buys Tevez from mancity for 50 million but only plays him for about 30 mins in 6 months becos he when he plays tevez there is a probability real madrid will lose.
5)Buys Emil Heskey and plays him as a lone striker dropping higuain to the bench

Nah.............1 season is stretching it too much.

Some people won't get it........ being loyal to LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB DOES NOT MEAN I HAVE TO BE LOYAL TO BENITEZ.

You can't pick and choose.......if you want....then lets be loyal to the owners.....the players.....the scouts....the ex-player ...blah blah.

The same ppl who blame the owners for every $hit.....blame gerrard at every instance all of a sudden take a moral ground when it comes to the manager. And anyone who says something wrong about the manager is ungrateful...   :glare:

So you can stick it to certain players and owners but the manager is off the limits ? Whatever...

A rut?  Really?  A rut is 2 or 3 games or even a month like we had last January, but Lando, a terrible season with a little run of decent play is a bit more than a rut.

Luck?  Bad Luck is a beachball on the pitch that leads to a goal against which leads to a 1-0 loss.  But injuries?  Dunno, that's just what happens when a side that lacks depth runs into.  Hardly a question of luck.

Refs?  Nothing more idiotic in any sport than to argue that poor results are the result of officiating.  We had some pretty shakey decisions go against us in the past but played well enough to put the decision in the rear view mirror and rise above.  A result here or there hinging on a shoddy penalty, yeah complain about that, but to deflect a poor season onto the shoulders of everyone else but the manager and the players is completely sticking your head in the sand.
s@int - 13 December 2009

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.
