i think we need 2 up top for this game and portsmouth away is a difficult game to play so personally i would go for

Garcia Xabi Gerrard Riise

Baros Nando

Yakubu, Lua Lua or Camara whichever plays will chase every ball down for portsmouth sometimes we gonna have to kick it down the line and Baros is needed to chase and hassle the portsmouth defenders, we have to concentrate on our own game and not be thinking too much about the everton-man utd game, and if Pellegrino plays i will be :angry:

isn't yakubu injured? he didn't play last saturday that's for sure. he's pretty much going through the motions now anyway as he's off to boro in the summer.

ah right ok kamara well they have enormous amount of pace and strength each of them and if yakubu is injured then Lua Lua and Kamara will attempt to cause just as much as havoc, real test for our back line with all these comments about the lack of pace we have at the back

It says a lot about this forum and some of its members when the biggest and most replied to threads are Championship Manager style pick your team for the game, and proper discussion is left to rot!

you pick what you think the team would be then you discuss afterwards the selection and the game itself, if it bothers why the hell do u add an extra post to the thread?

Yet another MASSIVE game. They seem to get bigger with every game don't they. Pompey is a pretty daunting place to play with the fans so loud and right on top of the pitch. I got a ticket for this one and am looking forward to the atmosphere. Hoping it doesn't rain though coz Fratton is a dump and the away gets wet when it does!

We need to win this one so i'm thinking this will work in our favour. I get the impression we don't really know how to play away this season. I don't know if its about the players mentality or a confidence thing. ARe the players thinking 'Do we keep it tight at the back and try and hit teams on the break' or 'a draw would be a decent result here' etc. The Charlton (I can't include West Brom!) game aside i can't recall seeing us come out, get the ball down, dominate posession and attack the opposition this season. That's what we need tomorrow.

I fancy us to do it coz we need to (plus Daglish isn't going!) 2-1 the Poll
