Voronin's thoughts on england - Bit of a t0sser but probably right lol

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think he is spot on about the UK, I was born and bred in Liverpool (although I don't live there now) and I would never knock my home city but as for the UK in general, crime, NHS, rip off prices, fooking taxes. Its all that w@nk governments fault. Put Rafa in charge, at least he would rotate them.

Read the quotes, its hardly offensive.

Scousers talk quick and Fazackerly ozzie is a :censored: hole - not inventing any wheels there like.

I don't see him dissing Scouse, I mean, its only natural for a non English speaker to struggle with it.

Whats the bets he says plenty of positive things as well in the article?

Its ironic because at the moment I am reading "A Short History of Tractors in Ukraine" which is about Ukrainen immigrants living in England. :D

my god, JBG, you don't half live fast and party hard

so the guy has a few grumbles and some journo goes into full hyperbole, what's new? anyway, he can save himself some time with the english classes and make all his doctors appointments in germany after may because i'm pretty sure he's not going to be around liverpool much longer.

its a shame. the voronator could have been a legend as big as igor but he's been and gone and f*cked it up for all of us

:(

I don't see anything wrong in anything he said. In fact, I agree with every single word of it, and the way the journalist has turned the comments about not understanding Carra and Stevie into some kind of dig is disgraceful.

Agreed.

The question is not wheter what he says about England is more true or less, I guess that in England there will be good and bad doctors.

The question is how this claims are relevant. Voronin should know that this kind of things, no matter if true, won't help him a lot.

Quite frankly, no matter how peculiar an accent is, the most important thing is the will you have to adapt.

If those quotes had come from Fernando Torres then people would probably be sympathising with him.  Because it's Voronin (who a large proportion of fans want rid of anyway) people are quick to stick the knife in.

Usual tabloid sensationalism bullshit. It says he was interviewed by a Russian paper, so that was presumably in Russian. The Daily Mail get a translation of it and make it out as if he was slagging everyone from scousers to the whole country.

So basically you're admitting that even though you agree with my comment, you stand by your previous statement that voronin is a 'ku.nt' who can 'fe.ck off back to Germany'?

any player that plays for our club should have respect for the Club, Local Players and the UK.

If they dont then they can go back home......even if it is our top players.

We should buy English

Yeah so ...

of course I'd give Torres the benefit of the doubt, he scored 29 goals for us this season. We need him more, being honest here instead of trying to be some morally right do good.

Voronin is s.hit, he can f.uck off to wherever whether he made those comments or not.

Now get back in your pram.

On £30,000 a week maybe he should condier spending some of that money on BUPA, the tight fisted ex-commie pr1ck!!
NHS sucks and crime is high but I do not agree that the UK is a cultural backwater compared to Germany, UK is only really behind Italy and France in the whoel world when it comes to culture in my opinion, just look at all the great authors, playwrights, artists and inventors etc etc that has come out of the UK.
Anyone with a ponytail gets little respect form me but after those comments I imagine it is bye bye Vorinator.

The English are one of the worst nations for complaining about foreign cultures when they go abroad on holiday - yapping when they can't have their full English breakfast in France or moaning that the bar they're in in Spain doesn't serve scampi fries.  Yet a fellah plying his trade in England expresses some concerns about genuine issues such as the NHS and crime and gets slaughtered for moaning about it by English folk
