Well I guess that Alonso was fúcking nobody when he reached England, wasn't he?  :)

you gotta be kidding me... comparing alonso with veronin

alonso(young) that time was so influential in a real sociedad team that almost won the la liga..

veronin...??  :D

A half hearted try at the optimistic outlook that Bob  :D

I know...I'm clutching at straws here. "Faint" would be an exceedingly charitable description for my level of excitement over this signing.

all i've seen of him has been from the recent world cup..

he seemed to link up with teammates well....he did work hard but his finishing was poor on the most part. I don't remember him doing anything "special", just remember that he did basics well enough.

im so excited. :blues:

all in all, i don´t rate the guy and they do not really rate him in germany either ... so i´m also wondering why rafa is going for him.

i think he may be just used as our fourth striker ... (replacing robbie) ... infact, i really hope so.

I'd rather keep God if that's the case.

One things for sure, if he fails ,it wont be the weight of expectation that causes it  :D

12 goals in 29 starts this season is pretty decent if you ask me. Compared to David Villa who has 18 in 42 games. Sure, totally different leagues but when it comes down to brass tax, goals per game is all that really matters.

i think its brass tacks mate   :D

to be fair when someone comes from a different league we cant really say what to expect in this league, if the guy is a natural finisher then that will the same wherever he plays, but a lot of aspects of our game will be a little different to get used to
