Yeah of course ill give him the chance, just dont see what we still need to go after mediocre players for, unless of course this deal was completed before the takeover, which changes it. Cant go far wrong with a free so lets see what he can do i suppose.

He's free but he will take up one of the 4 striker positions for the next few years and will no doubt be on a very good contract. While not expecting Ronaldinho I was hoping for a more high profile signing, and for someone 27 he has hardly broken many pots and is hardly going to get much better is he?

I can't honestly see him making up much of the gap between us , the mancs and Chelski. We have bought too many squad players, hardworking or not over the last few years. I want to see a couple of automatic first teamers brought in, or at the very least top quality players like Mascherano.

I have, and he isn't all that impressive. Nothing better than anything that we currently have. He has a good amount of pace but his finishing is worse than any of our other strikers.

He has something like 30 goals in 100 plus Bundesliga matches. Not exactly what we need at the moment.

Veronin is a strange pick by Rafa ,he is a solid player ,very good dribbler not that good in front of goal ,he is no way better then our current attack.

David Trezege could have been a wonderfull addition or Adriano if released ,we can also settle for Yaakobo from Boro which is strong and accurate and offers an aspect we don't have now.

Id have Larson, Saviola, Gudjonsen and Crouch over him and that says it all. Liverpool should be bidding for the likes of Villa, Quaresma, Angulo ffs not clowns like Veronin.

Saviola is defiantly someone worth taking for cheap or on a free.  Career has taken a bit of backward step but the kid has loads of ability.
