I am an armchair fan at the moment and during commentaries I listened to on the radio, I would get impatient because everytime Smicer was mentioned, he gave the ball away and I wondered why we bothered with him and Hammann, if truth be told. Then I saw a game on telly, don't ask which one, but it was during Houlliers time, we were losing and I was frustrated with the overall performance, then smicer came on, and Hammann and the team played so differently it was amazing. We played with nous, ie tactical awareness. It was their experience we lacked, we managed to win too. I hope Smicer improves with Rafa, cos there is no doubt he gives 100%

this is my opinion but if hamann had played instead of biscan, fullham will be dead & buried in the 1st half.

It's a difficult one this
Because Smicer has been given more of a chance than most
But having said that - it's not been under Rafa - so who knows what the manager could do with him
I think the majority are right - I think he's gonna get a handful of games to prove what he has left to offer - before the Gaffa offloads
Time for his to step up and Repay Liverpool and their patience - by carrying us into the next round of the Champions League (I take it he can play)

He should be able to play unless Liverpool did not register him in their list of 25 (is that the right number?) players who will play in the CL because he was injured since the start of the current season.

I do not think much of him as he has been one of the few who gets to start even though he plays like sh!te more than most of the time when Houllier was in charge. This was, I believe, partly because of the same former club link, RC Lens, much like how Glenn Hoddle used to pick Spurs players such as sick note and Sheringham for England because he loves that club soooo much...

No, we don't need him as he always gives the ball away far too cheaply and never does enough to justify so touted his "attacking" qualities and "edge-of-the-seats" skills. I have seen none from him. Get lost, Vladi!
