Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

April 2 Liverpool v Bolton
Apr 3 West Brom v Everton
Apr 9 Man City v Liverpool
Apr 10 Everton v Crystal Palace
Apr 16 Liverpool v Tottenham
Apr 20 Everton v Man Utd
Portsmouth v Liverpool
Apr 23 Crystal Palace v Liverpool
Everton v Birmingham
Apr 30 Fulham v Everton
Liverpool v Middlesbrough
May 7 Everton v Newcastle
May 8 Arsenal v Liverpool
May 11 Arsenal v Everton
May 15 Liverpool v Aston Villa
Bolton v Everton

I'd say we've got the harder run-in, but only just. The scum could actually do us a favour on April 20, but it's up to us to get our ****** in gear. Cynical? We've slipped up too many times this season. Optimistic? We've got the quality to nick 4th place from the bluenoses. Nice finish to an otherwise dodgy season I think.

Yes I've got to say that if I was an Everton supporter I'd be very worried looking at the fixtures. I don't see them winning any of the next three, games against relegation dogfighters are notoriously difficult. Home to Birmingham and away to Fulham are both winnable for them, but then Newcastle home and Arsenal/Bolton away looks dire. I note the bookies are still making them favourites for fourth but not for me, they've gone I think. Our home game against Bolton is absolutely massive. If we win that then I think we are in pole position. I fancy us to beat City and Tottenham and draw with Portsmouth and Palace. Home wins against 'Boro and Villa and defeat away to Arsenal would give us an extra 17 points from our remaining games. I fancy they might draw with WBA and Palace, lose to Manure. Beat Birmingham and Fulham before drawing with Newcastle and losing the last two. That would give them an extra 9 making us OK.
BTW, lets hope that numpty Robson gives Earnshaw more than 20 minutes on Sunday so he can do some damage at Goodison.  :D

I just hope they pick up some injuries cos they haven't got the players to come in, thats the luck they have had all season, we should have nailed Carsley and a few others yesterday :;):

As long as we play like we did yesterday, get no more injuries, all our strikers make miraculous recoveries, and the BSh1t crumble.

So you think we wont lose again this season? I cant see us winning all the away games, Portsmouth Man.City & Ar$es are all capable of turning us over away from home. sad but true.

it's still gonna be tight
I can definitely see Everton dropping points galore
But then it comes down to us
which Liverpool will turn up - Jekyll or Hyde
it's no good seeing Everton drop points and then putting in a performance like we did against Blackburn - that was absolutely bloody toothless
Some more of how we played first half yesterday and like we have been in the CL for the rest of the season - and we'll be fine

Of couse it is !
Didn't you notice the words "being optimistic" and the big fat smiley in my post ? .

With our form anything can happen and no I don't EXPECT us to go unbeaten for the rest of the season but I do hope for it .

I am sure however that Everton will drop a bagfull of points between now and the end of the season ,I'm praying we can take advanyage of it .

I can see a lot of dropped points in their run in. It's how few we drop that's more of a problem.

Another worry is that I don't fancy us to get through the Bolton game without someone getting injured somewhere on the park. They're not exactly subtle in the tackle.

No more nothing performances, and we'll be okay. Even one more toothless performance and it could be all over for us.

There are a lot of banana skins on the list, and to be honest I don't think we can afford to take it to the final day. Villa are very capable of doing Everton a favour there.

I said that if we win the derby, then they will crumble.  I still think this.

I also think their run-in is more difficult than ours.  We both have to play bolton and arsenal.  But they have the scum and a resurgent newcastle also.

Of course we can't afford any more injuries, but I think we'll do it

bolton are physical but i think if we adopt the same attitude as we did against everton then we`ll be okay. everton are notoriously physical but gerrard set the tone early on with a couple of big tackles on carsley and pistone. we stole their thunder and we have to do the same against bolton who roughed us up last time.

Everton will not pick up 6pts against West Brom and Palace as they will be absolutely fighting to stay up, and will be bale to match Everton at their own game.

It may well come down to the last fixture though, and we have the easier game in that regard.

We will finish 4th by the kin of our teeth.
