personally i think this decision is a disgrace, and i wouldnt be suprised one bit if we happen to meet Man U or Everton in the 3rd round, by the luck of the draw of course . How we can be unseeded, its unbelievable to me, i mean as champions we should be seeded by right of actually winning the bloody thing!

Personally i dont blame UEFA entirly for this farce as they were forced into a situation to include us in the competition, even though they should of had regulations in place after the same situatuion happened with Real Madrid a few years ago. The main culprit is the FA, probably the most spineless bunch of wasters on the earth, because they didnt have the balls to drop Everton from the tournament. The spanish FA set the standard a few years ago, so why didnt our own national association follow suit? the FA published on it's website last year when Arsenal and Chelesa played in the quarter finals of the champions league that if the either team went on to win the champions league but failed to finish top four in the league they would qualifiy at the expense of the 4th placed team in the league! this to me is completly out of order and now we will be forced to scrap our entire pre season to play qaulifiers, which will mean our season starts so early that it will be similar to if were entered to play in the intertoto cup!

Like most I am deligheted to be in it. however I feel it is disgraceful that we have to defend it from the 1st qualifying round.
As most people agree the culprits are the FA and they should be bombarded with emails to let them know what is thought of the. AR*EHOLES.
Looking on the bright side, rather than defending the trophy ( which we already own) I see this as the first assault on outright ownership of the next one.

Just to clear it up people, seeding is based on a team's co-efficient ranking, it has nothing to do with how/why you qualified.

We cannot draw Manchester United in the 3rd qualifying round as they will be seeded too and so the draw seperates us. However, Everton will not be seeded (unless seeds in the 1st/2nd qualifying round get knocked out and don't reach the 3rd round) and so there is a possiblity we could draw them.

Again, should we make the group stages, we will be in the no.1 group of seeds because we have the highest co-efficient ranking.

No club can be drawn against a club from their own country until the quarter finals.

Even if they could, Everton are unseeded anyway.

Who cares, we're in.  For weeks we've been lamenting over the need to be in the CL.  Now that we've been allowed in, some people are getting bitter about where we have to start from.  We're not Everton, so stop being bitter!

The first 2 qualifiers are against minnows, if we can't beat them, even with a reserve side, we should pack up our bags and forget about it totally.

One of the teams in the unseeded section is Glentoran, from Northern Ireland.  A couple of years ago we beat them 4-0, and it was just like a training match to watch.

So, hopefully, we can use these matches to get match fit for the start of the EPL.

What's the point in UEFA taking our country protection away if Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd and the bitters have it. Think about it, we are actually nationless if that makes sense so if we did draw the blue noses they WOULD HAVE TO PLAY US, because we will effectively not be from their country
