FC Porto's victory over Manchester United in the last round of the Champions League may have raised a smile or two on Merseyside but as a result Liverpool have slipped a place in the all-time UEFA rankings.
European football's governing body have compiled a league table based on all games played in the European Cup and Champions League since the inception of the competition in 1955.
Prior to the first knockout phase of this season's tournament the Reds were placed 11th in the list but were leapfrogged by the reigning UEFA Cup holders after their recent two-legged victory over United.
If you're looking for someone to blame for this then Costinha, scorer of the last-gasp equaliser at Old Trafford, is your man. Although somehow I doubt there'll much hate mail coming his way with a Liverpool postmark stamped on it!
