After watching the game on t.v. it demonstrated that great players might put on the weight and lose pace but instinct never ages.  The touches from Molby, Whelan, Barnes and Dalglish were brilliant.

The one part of the game that annoyed me was seeing Neil Ruddock playing.  To me the guy was a joke who epitomised the spice boy era and who never deserved to play with us, never mind line out with a team named Liverpool Legends.

only watched it on the box, sorry i never went now, it looked a great occasion - i would have liked to clap some of the old players onto the pitch, to give them a big thanks for some of the greatest days of my life.
especially kenny, the ball that he skimmed over quinns head was typical of the vision of the man, but years ago it would have been a quarter of an inch higher.
rushie`s still got it, as has barnsey and rambo

it doesn`t matter it was against celeb`s mate, their old men now. in their prime they did that to the likes of real madrid, bayern munich and barcelona.
they took us to five european cup finals in eight years - an amazing statistic considering the names plying their trade in europe in those days......maradona, platini, kempes, zico etc, etc.
they truly were great, great football players.

Try bittorrent in a day or two. :)

By the way, if you were to go to the News Bar tonight, you may bump into a 'legend' or 'celebrity' in their after show party. :;):

yeah looks like he`s lost a bit of weight since his playing days too  :D
in all seriousness jan was an absolutley incredible passer of the ball in his hayday and a great free kick artist too.
his man of the match performance in the first merseyside derby was a joy to watch, in fact that season he was exceptional. he moved to centreback at one point and i remember watching him ping 60 yard passes all over the place, just showing off really!
the kop called him rambo and to be fair i remember one particular game against a physical united side where he really gave it out. the likes of mark hughes, whiteside and robson came to get stuck into us but the big dane was having none of it.
he was just class.
