Hello friends,

Here in Greece we have a question about Liverpools transfers!!!!
Ok Liverpoll is not so rich as Man Utd or Chelsea but why buys only players that nobody knows?
And why buys so many foreigners?There are many british players which are very capable to play in Liverpool!!!!We think only the domestic players feel how important is to play for the Reds!!!
Why not buying Robinson or Defoe from Tottenham or Dyer?
Why not trying to buy Owen Hargreaves from Bayern FC?
Those are only some examples.
We dont want to start and learn Spanish !!!!!!
In Greece we loved Liverpool for the good british players!!!!

I know where you are coming from, and it is an age old question that will never be truly answered.

Do you not think that Alonso and Nunez have improved the squad though ?

Its down to money my friend. British players tend to cost more than players abroad.

Defoe would cost us too much
Hargreaves is not good enough to get in our midfield
Dyer I would not touch he is ******

About money..........We heard that Liverpool is ready to pay 12 millions Euro for Anelka who is not something great.
With the same money you can buy a lot of good domestic players!!!!!!!

Defoe - potentially a better player, but yet to score twent goals in a season in the Premiership, and would cost around £20m.

Bitty - Who the hell is he ?

Mellor - I like him a lot, but we already have him so what is the point?

Philips - no one will ever do what he did, come from the first division and win the golden boot, but his best days are wqell behind him. Anelk is younger faster and much more acomplished.

Viduka - over weight, over paid and over rated, I would take Analka anyday over him and his ego.

Maybe you are right but i think Liverpool needs good british palyers.
And what about Robinson and Dyer?

King?
We dont need only strikers

Robinson is a good keeper, but no real improvement on Kirkland.

Dyer = awful.

Joe Cole = one trick pony.

King = Possibility, but again it would take a silly fee to prise him from Spurs.

spurs are supposd to want 20 million for king which is to much in my eyes id like to take him and defoe from spurs but we just havent got the money, if we want a english strker we would probably have to go for Beattie who is'nt good enough for the red shirt in my eyes.Another I wouldnt mind is darren bent from ipswich looks like he might be able to cut it in the prem.

I am assuming he means Kevin Phillips mate!

Maybe he also means David Batty?

I dont know, but i can tell you that the only English players i would want at the moment is Robinson, King, Wright-Phillips and Defoe, all would cost way too much!
