Training ground

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Tom » Mon Mar 07, 2005 4:50 pm

Hi everyone. Im new to the site.

I am looking for some help. I am hoping to get a shirt signed by Stevie Gerrard. Can someone give me some directions to the training ground please, and if possible give me some guidance on when is best to go and were is best to stand etc. I am guessing its best to go on a week day when their wont be many people there. Is it easy to get stuff signed at the training ground?

Thanks in avdance,
Tom.

NO WE WILL NOT HELP YOU IN ANY WAY. YOU ARE CLEARLY INTENDING TO GET THE SHIRT SIGNED, POSSIBLY GET A PICTURE OF STEVIE SIGNING IT, AND THEN PUT IT ONTO E-BAY AND RIP REAL LIVERPOOL FANS OFF BIG TIME WITH THE COST.

NO WAY NEVER.

Thats not a very nice answer, thats not true at all.
I have been up to NUFC training ground today and got 3 Shearer shirts signed (never took my camera) and certinally do not intend putting them on ebay. They are for my own collection. I hope to get a few premiership players shirts, I would like a John Terry and Frank Lampard for instance. Im starting my own collection, if you dont want to help me out thats fair enough, but the shirts are for me, to keep and save, its a hobby to some people like myself. Ive never sold any signed stuff on ebay.

Leon: maybe we should give these guys the benefit of the doubt.

mark. if someone has a hobby, let him get the autograph and stop being a numpty.

Tom, just turn up, these people know the difference between the scum that sell and the fans that collect the shirts privately. Just say ud like it and see what happens, and if you see mark hanging around just punch him :D

What about scousers selling stuff in Cardiff nobody down here objected or cared about that and they were the ooters then. Live and let live

Although ebay sellers are wrecking it for kids genuinely after autographs

mark, because you can tell, theres a comlpete difference. Like yourself, i also used to stweard, mostly at wembley but also at watford when helping out my mate (also when they were top flight so i got to get better seats for the watford liverpool game)
Now when i was doing this i saw numerous people trynig to get autographs.. and believe it or not, not everyone just gets them to sell them. Thew few that were were just so obvious it was embarressing. If someone collects autographs, why wouldnt they want stevie gs? Why cant everyone be happy instead of just u and your pathetic infantile and moronic views.
there is a difference, u can tell in the sincerity of someones voice, its not rocket science. As for your boring fascination with ooters. Is this just because u realise you dont really like football and when you talk to people u realiee that u r a numpty

I sympathise 100% with what Leon is saying: professional autograph hunters are parasites and ruin things for the 8 year old kid at his first game.

However, many people genuinely collect autographs for their own private collections. Young Liverpool supporters are just as happy to get Alan Shearer's, Denis Bergkamp's or John Terry's signatures as they are of their own team. Maybe we should give this guy the benefit of the doubt, although people cannot advertise e-bay stuff here, for many different reasons.
