Gerrard off for Sissoko.  Saving him for Chelsea given the heat.

64 mins: Gerrard was limping earlier in the half after a knock on the right foot, and now he's departing the scene. Hopefully no more than a precaution with Chelsea to face at the weekend. Sissoko replaces Gerrard, and the captain's armband passes to Carragher.

Where's the creativity going to come from now in midfield (Babel, Masch, Sissoko and Riise)?

Gerrard off Sissoko on . :(  does that suggest we'll settle for 1-0 ?) Ok Gerrard took a knock but surely Alonso would be the more offensive substitution ? If gerrard had to come off I'd have done a double sub, Gerrard and Voronin for Alonso and Torres .

We're keeping possession and frustrating them now.

Clearly not injured. Looks more like he's been replaced as a precaution. He got a knock and Rafa ain't taking any chances prior to the Chelsea game

Is Mascherano trying to go up often, making permutations with Gerrard or is he covering his back?

Despite rotating in defence, the good thing is that Carra and Hyypia know each other well and you wouldn't notice the rotation that much. Happy to see Hyypia will have this kind of chances, and glad he chosed to stay.

you've no chance mate, unless you wanna know what stream works or which telly channel it's on, we're fk'd.

this is an ok commentery feed  :D

I don't want the comments of a young journo who's making shít work in August and has no clue about football.

I want YOUR comments. :D

About Yossi, let's give him time. About Riise, don't want to bring the Riise debate here, but he's bloody versatile, has longshots, and it's useful for any club including this one. A man like Riise will always have minutes through out a long season.

Awaiting worried news about Gerrard's injury.
