At least we have a much stronger team to come in against Bolton:;):

couldnt be much worse to be honest.

Cavielier: 5 - Major :censored: up with Dossena. Distribution looked poor compared to Riena's
Degen: 6 - Should've of been given the penalty. Was flat footed most of the night and looked very rusty.
Hyppia: 7 - Solid, scored a goal and won most of his headers in defence
Agger: 7 - Some great saving tackles, looked great going forward. another solid performance.
Dossena: 3 - Worst performance I've seen in a liverpool shirt. Played a part for 3 of the Spurs 4 goals, pants by Lennon and woeful going forward. Disaster of a game. Single handedly took us out of the game.
El Zar: 6 - Was very quite early but bobbed up late in the game to look dangerous on occasion.
Torres: 6 - Didn't really do much
N'Gog: 5 - full 90 minutes and was unspotted. A little disapointing from a player I was expecting big things from.
Babel: 7 - Most dangerous forward and fantastic delivery from corners.

Alonso: 8 -  Immediate impact when he came on, controlled the game.
Insua:7- Looked dangerous on the left. I think Rafa should consider starting him at LB ahead of Dossena.
Darby: 6 - Not a lot of time, unsighted.

can't give Babel a 7 mate, 5 I think would be right, did f*ck all tonight.

Lucas is seldom played, he is wasting away on the bench, he is the at the age where he needs regular first team football to improve as a player, you only have to look at the progress of Theo Walcott to realize that regular first team football is essential for a young player like Lucas to develop into a very accomplished player.

Another player who is wasting away is Nemeth who is twice the player when compared to N’Gog. Dossena is a good defender, if he wasn't he wouldn't be Italy's #1 left back, but I do not believe he is suited to the Premiership. The same with Degen, he's a decent player, but he is a Dortmund player, not a Liverpool player.

No Lucas first has to show some stuff when he does play.  He doesnt do enough when I see him and cant command a place in the 1st team.  Dossena cannot be the best LB Italy have.  I would rather have a 40 year old Maldini.

Arsenal did not deserve to win that game, because their defence was shoddy all game and their midfield wasn’t all that bright either. I bet if Ramos was still at the helm of Spurs, they’d have lost to us twice, lost to Arsenal, drawn to Pompey and been stuck at the foot of the table on 2 pts or whatever they were on.

Redknapp is a gifted manager, his managerial record speaks for itself already Pav and Bent have shown glimpses of being able to work alongside each other. Something Mr UEFA Cup couldn’t manage.

I think you're being a bit generous there mate. I thought Hyypia had a stinker and 5 is way too much for a keeper who conceded 4 goals (including a nutmeg) and distributed poorly.

Agreed regarding Lucas and Nameth. Both are good players for the future that need game time.

I'm not sure Dossena is a good player. I'm starting to think he is a journeyman and we've been duped. He's still got a month before I make my final decision on him but initial thoughts aren't good. I'd like to see more of Degen before commenting on him. Has done some good things when playing but hasn''t been great with the basics stuff.

For me - tonight, Rafa never rotated enough.

Personally I would have preffered it if hed had put the reserve team in, in full. None of the first teamers even on the bench.

The only bright point is that we are out of a pointless cup but oh my god how many negatives are there including the fact that we clearly have no squad, despite Rafa's £200 million expenditure!!
The only players who showed any passion and skill were Agger, Hyppia and Babel. I can't blame Torres although he was as bad as I've ever seen him and Alonso did well when he came on. El Shar had a few good touches that's about it. In comparison the Spurs players looked like they had a point to prove, shame our players don't have that type of manager who can get them motivated.  :no

I think that's why Arsenal look so good. They've got a group of young players who are used to playing with each other in the reserves. If you look at our line up tonight, not only do they not play together, most of those players have hardly kicked a ball competitively all season.

Lucas was all over the place in the first half bt I think it ws down to him trying to do not only his job but also Plesses, who was an absolute passenger. He was much brighter in the second half and I dare say had he started with Alonso or Masch it would have been a different result.
I still say the team I would have put out would have won, Lucas with Masch, Darby and Insua as the FB`s and Benayoun behind Torres.
But like I say as long as it doesnt effect our league form who gives a sh!t?
3-1 at the weakend, Torres double and Gerrard and all forgiven.
Apart from that sack of spuds Dossena like, he`s got a good left foot but hasnt a clue as to his job AS A FULLBACK!!
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,
Of stupid fools who stand in line......  Like..
