Thommo is in negotiations with Sky to be one of next seasons saturday anchormen.

Heighway was sacked by Rick Parry after spitting his dummy out over the under 17s side at the Academy. Houllier asked for 3 or 4 of them to go to Melwood and Heighway said "8 or nothing" Houllier said no and Heighway offered his resignation - GH said OK and Heighway went on the bounce to Parry who said "you're sacked"

Benitez is NOT impressed with the Academy and the coaching qualifications of the staff there go nowhere near his basic requirements. Nearly all of them are on an early dart with the only existing coach up to his standard being Sammy Lee.

He's already making arrangements to introduce a kids system along the Real Madrid lines with specialised coaches dealing with 5 or 6 year olds.

He is really looking like a new broom Thank God!
