In response to the original TK Maxx question...

I hear they have a special on football socks at the moment...

Just kidding! .... What about Kevin Doyle from Reading? Hes still young and still improving, definately at a higher level than EggNog or Voronin and he's very effective from set pieces, headers....could easily picture him converting a few of Kuyts deep crosses in the box. He'd be cheap and keen...(no not robbie Keane)!!!

Im sure we have more than enough money to make some decent signings but in response to the question posed id try and sign him for 5-6M...

Ive just been talkin to my husband an he reckons that Tuncay would be a good buy for us, hard worker , makes nice little runs an played on the wing when he was with Fenerbache , for a short time . so can be a useful back up striker an come in handy on the wing an all :nod

GBYS please dont repond im all relaxed now

I may well get shot down in flames here, but the second team I follow is my local league side Peterborough United, who were promoted to the Championship from League 1 last season.

They have a couple of players who are more than capable of playing in the top flight, the best of whom is a forward called George Boyd, he can play on the left, right or as a second striker. He has pace, good ball control and a lot of skill (and to play like this in league 1 shows he is good given that it is very physical). If Peterborough struggle in the Championship he will get snapped up by a PL club.

He would be available for about 1 million quid and as he is only young is deffo worth a punt. In addition to this Peterborough also have Joe Lewis in goal, who will play for England one day as he is the best young English keeper around.

And dont get cross becasue their manager is Fergie Junior!!!!!!

He also mentioned Babel as a young and up and coming player. Also, Ngog and Lucas. I guess they are all here to stay. Not sure what kind of players Rafa is talking about.....

I hope Babel really steps up next season. Really we dont need to get rid of any of them, just add a bit more. Im sure Rafa will be able to bring in at least 1 high profile signing. There is the Keane money plus money from league and european cup finish last year.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.
