Well I said during the summer that we had to buy a new quality CB. With Masch gone we need this even more than before.

With the CB we do have i would go for Soto and Agger. They would complement each other better than our current pair with Carra and skrtel.

Sorry but beeing a good (and local) player does not entitle you to run the club in any way. That road only leads to ruin.

All that is history. Its about now, today!

Watch the games; watch him vs City, Brom and B/pool. He has no awareness of movements and focuses more on the ball. In today's football the role of the CM is not the hollywood passes, its about control and positioning; its more about the grid passes than the 40yrd pass.

Goals against ManU and Sunderland cannot disguise it!
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Carra is past it. i would start Kyrgiakos ahead of him. at least the Greek poses a goal threat and is the most dominant player we have in the air. Carra still have many good points but the thing is, his continuous hoofing of the ball prevents us from starting any attack as it will end up with the opposition. furthermore, there isnt a playmaker in the Alonso mould anymore. Carra is limited.

No football player in the world should contribute to a manager getting sacked.  Thats the boards job to decide.

Less interested in what goes or doesn't go back stage. I have argued since the beginning of the Year ,Cara and Skertel shouldn't be our starting CB's. In fact while everybody talks of our Midfield and lack of attacking i view the defending 4 as a total liability. Cara has lost speed and focus ,he gives way too much penalties and is another CB with no Air domination Attacking or defending.

Soto and Agger (which needs to deliver and fast) should be our opening CB's without a doubt.

I think its fair to assume that Gerrard and Garragher have too much power at the club and infact the players in general appear to have a fair amount of influence. Hell we had to beg our centre forward to stay on in the summer and we shouldnt be lowering ourselves to that level and it shows how desperate the club has become. Liverpool shouldnt be dominated or controlled by any player and frankly its not healthy and a road to ruin.

The texts that purslow bandied about proved what power gerrard and carra had last season and i've no doubt it's the same this year . Not @rsed anymore to be frank . Players don't give to fecks about are club . Shank's holy trinity is well and trully fecked.

The problem is Ciggy is that Hodgson will rely on his relationship will the three main players - Gerrard, Torres and Carragher - to keep his job. They are the most powerful voices in the team.

Right or wrong I can't seeing him being dropped whilst results are so poor.

Tell me you are joking. We must be watching a different player. Carragher has been getting worse year by year the past few years and I think most clubs that plays us identify him as a weak link. Hey but that's your opinion.

Are you implying people are only now critical of Jamie Carragher because he had the audacity to be an anti-rafa....

Agger is our best defender.......

yesterday the big Greek was our best defender and our best forward  :D

I thought Carra played ok at left back to be fair

cant agree with that BM. Agger is currently the best defender we have at the club. Probably, at the moment in time, followed by Kelly.

Totaly agree mate , me and the lad next to me yesterday were talking about a similar thing, tbh i never got into the game until a couple of minutes before kickoff with the march an that and never even seen the subs bench, i was dead suprised when i saw Kelly warming up with Lucas, For me he was a much better option than Carragher at left back,. Strange i honestly though this season it would be Carragher/Skrtel fighting it out for one spot with the onus on Skrtel possible getting the nod a bit more and Agger getting the nod over the greek for the other central defence spot.
Carra has still got the bite dont get me wrong but the legs arnt there . I prefer a football brain in our defence and thats why Agger if fit would be one of the first names on my team sheet, and im swaying more an more to giving the nod to Kelly over Johnson, he can defend like a proper defender

Danny Agger is our most technically gifted Defender in the same way Rio Ferdinand is at United ...it is a travesty he hasn't been utilised in much the same respect ... a ball playing defender blessed with a cool head capable of bringing the ball out of defence ....currently finds himself  understudy to Konchesky at Left back .... it simply beggars belief mate

It does beggar belief but given time Roy will hit on the idea that Agger is best suited to Centre Half and not Left Back as first thought.
