Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We sang for Souness, but we didn't want him.
We sang for Houllier in his last season when we were as dull as watching paint dry.

We always sing for our managers, it's called loyalty, also we don't insult fellow fans to big ourselves up, we respect somebody else's opinion, whether we agree with it or not
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Well i went to Anfield in Houllier's last season, and I never heard the fans sing his name once.

If that is loyalty, then I want nothing to do with it. I seriously doubt thousands of fans sing the manager's name during a game, then secretly go home and start raving about how they want him out. That's like a soldier wearing a peace symbol around his neck during a slaughter.

I put this question to everyone that wants him sacked.

Never get a good answer. Never will.

Heimdall's answer was classic - he wanted Sven or Paco. He was being serious. ???

What's your point?

I really don't give a flying rat's todger what the vast majority of people on here think of me - I say it as it is, and if the precious little lambs can't hack it - tough f*cking titties.

And that, my friend, goes for you, too.

And this "game, set and match" thing is wearing rather thin.

If you're referring to a ban - dream on - I'm not daft enough to get banned. Warned, maybe - but not banned.

Or if it's tennis you're on about - I have absolutely no doubt that I would wipe the floor with you in straight sets without so much as breaking a sweat.

If Rafa goes I would like Mourinho to take over.  It may not be the answer you would like or even think a good one but he would be my choice.

He has won cups and Titles both here and abroad, knows the prem and seems to have the knack of getting the best out of both foreign and English players in the "bread and butter" league games.

He won 5 cups over here in three years....... 2  league titles, 2 league cups and an FA CUP.

He won the league 4 years on the trot......2 at porto 2 at Chelsea, so I think he knows how to win titles. He has also won the Eufa cup and the CL so he knows a bit about Europe too.

I think he is as good as any that are available and most that arn't, I also think he might be tempted by the task at Liverpool, after all Chelsea hadn't won the title for 50 years before he took over, so it should be a breeze for him with us.

He seems to create a good spirit within his team and be a good motivator, he certainly doesn't lack confidence and doesn't seem to have major bliiiips.

I wouldn't expect him to come in and build a dynasty, so I would expect little money would be spent on the reserve and youth team, but I would expect him to build a title winning team perhaps quicker than his rivals.

Basically he ticks most of the right boxes and like him or hate him he has been one of the most successful managers over the last few years.

So good he got sacked because he couldn't win the Champions' League with the best squad in the World. 3 times.

I take it that, should he come and we win 2 league titles, we'll then sack him for someone who has a good track record in the CL?

That's because he's got a brain the size of a gnat's foreskin.
