Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Watching all the Spains games of this tournament I must say that Albert Riera is a bit underrated by the Liverpool supporters. He´s really good, very technical and skilful, he opens the pitch on the wing very well, I think he was a good acquisition, the people should appreciate him.

I know there are spanish people on this site but if Torres gets injured in this stupid mickey mouse piece of :censored: tournament I'm going to shoot  every spanish person I see.

When I become an Irish international and lead us to world cup glory, i'll refuse to play in this :censored: tournament

PS I passed by Ronnie Whelan in town today - less fat than on the t.v.

He seems to do very good for Spain, and when he is in good form I agree that he is very technical and skillfull and offers a lot for us e.g. V Aston Villa.

But he's one of those players that is hot and cold, he's either really good or a bit :censored:

If he stayed consistent I reckon he could be one of the best Left Wingers in the premiership.

I think his late season performances are being underrated by LFC fans. The story seems to be he started off decent and gave us good width, but then became stale and never regained form.  Even though he was not playing consistently in the last few months because Yossi and Dirk were playing very well, when he did play, it was usually at a level similar to the way he started the season.

Also he missed all of pre-season and was able to basically walk into the team, which is impressive.

Hopefully he will be more consistent next season.

I don't under rate him at all. I believe he was one of the reasons we did very well in the first half of the season. Him and of course Alonso finding his form again.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

:D Man, you absolute destroyed us in that war. We have a typical expression about that:

"Mas se perdió en Cuba".

On football we are gonna take the revenge. :rasp

Do you conmemorate that war?

Shame on you. Sinking your ship named Maine and blaming us  :no

:D

Well. For conmemorating that you leave no other option than humilliating you in the pitch. 4-0.

Dossena had himself a bit of a shocker there.
If Juventus want that lad they're welcome to him. Not up to scratch...

ouch

"Remember the Maine, to HELL with Spain

Splendid little war

Ironic that the Spanish government would sue the U.S. for war crimes at Guantanamo, when its their fault that we had a base there in the first place :D   Also, gaining the Philippines was a huge help in the Pacific Theatre of WWII

Usually history class takes a time out to learn about yellow journalism while covering the war.  I think it is quite ironic that prizes in journalism are called Pulitzer Prizes, yet Joseph Pulitzer was famous for making up sensationalist news just to sell papers  :

Right Joe. I retire my 4-0 offer. It's going to be a 5-0 in our 4th encounter.
