Was a bit harsh the sending off.  Altidore has looked pretty good for a 19 year old, should have scored though, as well as Bradley.  Donovan's Penalty was well taken, I'll take 1-0 at the half.  I have to think Italy will get a goal in the second half playing against the USA with 10 men.

BTW, the freaking horns are even worse for this game.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I was thinking while watching the first half.  Why are they blowing the horns?  It's not like these people have a vested interest in the outcome of the matches, they are there pretty much as neutral fans.  Basically they are making all this noise to... well... just to make noise?  Weird.  Oh and it's so freaking loud all the time that when something happens there's no additional noise from the crowd, just... more noise.

make it 3 goals by Americans.  1 for the Italians.

I have a new most hated player.  Guiseppi Rossi.  That kid can go :censored: himself.

Couple of good, very watchable games, shame Egypt lost mind. It's such a shame they diddled it to have the hosts in a weak group, either USA or Egypt would have been decent making up SFs whereas I would want to watch New Zealand, South Africa or Iraq - well maybe if their SF opponents hammer them as they quite probably will. If Brazil beat USA next and Italy beat Egypt then they will both go through with only topping the group to play for in their head to head. That could be a humdinger, given the winners will face a cr ap side and most likely the runners-up will face Spain.

topping the group is important because its the difference between playing Spain OR either Iraq or South Africa.  Because they drew, and I think will both probably lose to Spain and beat New Zealand, I think that goal difference will be the likely decider.

the commentators just mentioned them, reckon its a tradition of South Africa for them to blow their horns. Expect the same for the world cup then
