Also keep in mind that ESPN has picked up the Setanta Premiership matches, now what they do with them remains to be seen, but I think if shown over here, that will be a big boost financially. It won't happen overnight but down the road, it could be a tremendous asset. ESPN has a huge influence on what sports do well in the US and where those precious advertising dollars go. Take the NHL for instance. The height of the NHL's popularity was when ESPN was broadcasting both NHL regular season and playoff games. After the NHL lockout, the NHL and ESPN, did not renew their contract. The NHL has suffered in the popularity area tremendously.
I'm in no way saying that the Premier League needs US viewers, but really, over here we remain an untapped resource and for a country this size and as Sports Mad as we are over here, it's a resource that needs to be looked into.

Really?? I thought you guys were very patriotic, if there was a team owned by Norwegians I would be more inclined to take an interest in them, well except for Wimbledon of course but then that was the time they got relegated and I am of course a glory hunter.
