ok here we go.

1. no use of the word franchise
2. under no circumstances introduce cheerleaders
3. under no circumstances play music after goals are scored
3. under no circumstances interfere with the manager decisions
4. under no circumstances buy an old big name player
5. under no circumstances fail to listen to the fans
6. no linking us with some sh1t hockey team
7. no cross accounting when said sh1t hockey team loses money
8. no upsetting leon
9 no breaking us away to form our own super premier league
10 no freezing the lake on newsham park and inventing an ice hockey team
11 do not fuck about with the kit and americanise it

just make money available for rafa and let him get on with it, basically dont change anything about our club apart from the ground (i would love them to develop anfield).

just do what we ask and we will all get along nicely

Cheerleaders are OK, as long as they don't look like slappers.

Hicks and Gillett just announced that Tony Christie will be played after every goal scored.

I have only one request of Gillett and Hicks.

Video boards, baby, yeah!!!!

I want to see that new Ford driving around the pitch in an almost magical electronic way.

Do you even know the first thing about hockey? I totally agree about not making the two teams financially linked.
But calling the Canadiens sh**? What do you know about hockey?
In all pro sports, they are the 2nd most titled team, behind the New York Yankees in baseball.

Do not link the two, fine, I agree on that. But calling a team you probably could not name any player, past or present, sh**?
Shows how knowleadgable you are.  ???

shut up you :censored: gobbler and read the post propeley, at no point do i name any hockey team, i am simply stating a point about cross accounting, keep our accounts seperate from the others, even a complet fuckwit like you can see that, but i suspect that from your avatar and new membership, and willingness to be a gobs*i*e that you are in fact an alter ego on a wind up mission.

also the post is tongue in cheek.

Well, well, well.

After months and months of rumours and negociations finally Liverpool Football Club was sold to the highest bidder - yes, but for all the right reasons. Yesterday was a massive step forward for our club and could well go down as one of the brightest moments in our dishingushed history.

A lot of Liverpool fans, including me, were worried about the potential effects of new owners at Liverpool, would they strip the club of its passion, would they understand how we work etc. There was a lot of factors that could go wrong under new ownership. Especially foreign ownership.

The DIC group were the first concrete name we heard of that had a good chance of aquiring the club. We had heard of Gillette being interested but the rumours of him were mixed with the "false" accusation that he wanted a groundshare with our bitter neighbours. This put a lot of Liverpool fans off straight away. The DIC had money in abundance and were willing to spend it. A lot of fans were happy with the announcement they were conductind "due diligence" in December and like Parry said yesterday, us and the Liverpool board expected it all to be wrapped up by Christmas. Except it wasn't, whether it was being shrewd or how DIC done business, Parry and Moores must of been getting itchy feet.

Whatever was happening behind the scenes, we will never know, but this unexpected extension give Gilette another bite at the cherry and this time he brought a "big player" in Hicks. Their offer blew DIC's out of the water, it valued the club higher and the added captial now available through Hicks made the Anfield hierachy sit up and take notice.

Whether Moores went back on his word or not, Liverpool football club has benefitted immensely from this takeover, DIC might have been a brilliant option but from what I have heard so far, the new owners are making all the right noises.

I was sitting in yesterday when I heard the press conference had been called for 2pm. I have not delved too deep into the takeover thread, what matters on the pitch is most important to me, but this was the first thing I had seen or read of the new owners and their ideas. I was mightly impressed with what they had to say and their ideas for Liverpool football club. The constuction of the stadium was high on their agenda and its the same with the fans. The way Gillette threw the "groundshare" idea out of the window was greatly satisfiying. I was also very impressed with the way they handled the difficult questions the media posed at them reguarding the business side of things.

On the pitch, where it matters most, they said they had spoken to Rafa, and he had explained to them about what he needs etc. I like the way they seem very willing to back Rafa, it means the summer will be very interesting for us. Hicks said that Rafa and Rick will come to them with the players they want and they'll do it, which although it doesn't mean a "open cheque book", it does mean they will want to put their money where there mouth is and expect big waves at Anfield in the summer. Alves seems to be high up on the list and maybe a future "MVP" or "goal-striker" will quickly follow as they look to make their mark on the footballing map. I was also impressed with the praise that they heaped on Rafa, he is one of the best coaches in the game and I believe he is the man to bring the Premiership to Anfield for the the first time. I was glad at how much public backing he got from the new owners and his ideas and plans will hopefully start kicking into gear.

The idea of a "commercial deal" for the naming rights of the stadium is a bit of a worry to some fans, the "Coca Cola Stadium" does not inspire as much as Anfield does. However the way in which Gillette put in across about if it meant " one GREAT player" signing every year because of this would of won a lot of the sceptics over, and although I would not publically back a plan to name the stadium, the idea and explanation means there would be little protest.

All in all, I expect the way Liverpool is marketed throughout the world will change dramastically. I think these two know what they are doing on the commercial side of things and I expect great results in these areas. I expect a bust transfer window in the summer, and I do expect the stadium naming rights to be sold.

Here comes the franchise!!

Put money aside of football. Despite i expect them to boost the club financially, but all i want is cups and triumph.

Anyway, world-class players coming soon since this hype up their desire to play for us. (at least for money)
Reds is the sacred colour before this world was born.
