Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Sometimes we are just happy to whack the ball as far away as possible to no man's land in the opponents' half and to me that is school boys' football not for professionals esp. for a club like Liverpool.

QUESTION NOW IS, WHY HAS LIVERPOOL DROPPED TO SUCH LOW LEVEL AND ALMOST SCHOOL BOYS STANDARD SOMETIMES? IS KENNY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS OR ARE THE PLAYERS ARE SO INCORRIGIBLE SUCH THAT EVEN KK'S GREAT MAN MANAGEMENT IS NOT HELPING?

FFS, one loss and all hell broke loose?

West Ham outwitted, outplayed and had better strategy than us. It is that simple. Same like when we outclassed Chelsea last month.

We didn't bring our A game into the field. West ham did.

They won. We lose.

It is that simple.

Why?

Those kinds of players cost a fortune.

Our 2 strikers cost more than rest of the team which tells us there are many holes to fill.

We need a new goalie probably, 2 new cb as Agger is never fit and the rest isn't good enough. A new left back as we have none. We need wingers desperatly and we have none with any flair, pace and creativity.

That's like 5-6 new starting players. Think it will happen?
No chance!

kenny has only bought two players and one is yet to play, Suarez is new to the prem. How can you blame kenny for that? Our team is ageing and some players are not good enough.
Torres left us on the last day of the transfer window how was kenny supposed to get us a new team with a day left?

Maybe now its time to start pointing the finger in the players directions we are on our 3rd manager in a year and they are still playing sh!te !!!!

I think many of you could disagree with me on this but, Torres' leaving at the last minute of the Jan. transfer window has caught Lvp off guard and we're still adjusting to his absense in that dept.

I mentioned about giving away too many possessions in an earlier post and thanks for all your responses.

Now I'm going to talk about another one of our many problems and that is the strikers' dept. Since KK took over I had to say that Torres' performance had improved compared to RH's tenure and he was looking more like the Torres we used to know. But at the last minute of Jan window he was sold and yes we have fitter and younger players in Suarez and Carroll. The problem is, Carroll is unfit and will be suffering from match fitness when he does come back and Suarez in my personal opinion is more suitable as an attacking midfielder than an all out striker like Torres. So without Carroll playing, we are desperately lacking a prolific scorer like Torres. This is the problem in our strikers area. If Torres and Suarez were playing together, we'd got even better results.

I feel sorry for KK having to pick up all the mess left behind by Rafa and RH. Managing Lvp at this time is not easy and very stressful and I am concerned whether KK can withstand the pressure/not and won't suffer from another head explosion like 20 yrs ago. I'd love to see him continue on next season. Long Live King Kenny

Mass clearout needed. Definitely get rid of; Brad Jones, Aurelio, Jovanovic, Kyrigakos, Poulsen, El Zhar, Degen and Konchesky.
Hopefully bring Insua and Aquilani back, not likely though. Also possibly get rid of Kuyt, Maxi and Cole, replace with genuine wingers ala Sanchez, Hazard, Turan etc.

Yesterday was a setback not a disaster. New blood will be needed in the long term though I'm not convinced Skyrtel will survive the clearout in the summer. Clearly pace is required in various positions including central defence. Dalglish is still the right man to sort things out beyond May but it will be up to the owners to back him financially. The dead wood needs to go including Jovanovic, Maxi, Ngog and probably one or two others. There's a few who shouldn't really be at the club. We may not realise it now but West Ham might have done us a favour yesterday. The changes have to happen otherwise we can kiss goodbye to getting back into the top four and probably goodbye to Kenny as well.

We still have too many of Rafa's deadwood players in the side.  :glare:

Skertel, Kuyt, Lucas, N'gog, Maxi et al. Most of these muppets get a game each week still.

Since when is a Brazilian international a muppet?

Well, I think Rivaldo is a bit of a muppet, remember that dive by the corner flag when he was holding his face?

As for Lucas, well he's a muppet quite frankly because the boy is shabite, along with the others I've mentioned. They're s.hit, there is no way of dressing it up.

A spade is a spade, but because some spades play for the club I support, they don't instantly become diamonds because of it.

And before any of the moral high grounders decide to slate me for what I've said, just remember what half of you know doubt said about ''Owl face''. If a manager's s.hit, we can say so, then this rule must apply to some of the players who pull on the red jersey and perform as inconsistently as they do.

You can add Skertel a Slovakian Int....Bottom line Int or not our squad is riddled with deadwood ,walking dead ,you name it we have them...We need at least 6 more players to have a decent contending team.

Kenny in my opinion ,hasn't rissen to the occuasion as of yet as he deploys the same deadwood (Kuyt,Skertel,Maxi) as the rest did and has some bizzare player selections and subs (Why the Fck Paulson is still here)..I don't see him try Pacheco which everyone hails ,can't understand our LB situation (Johnson is not a LB) ,can't understand his defensive setup (it's as if we are fighting for something)...I have yet to see ONE quality performance from our team this season.

errr... are you a wind up?

Kenny resurrected Johnson's career by playing him LWB... he was performing terribly as RB...

Kenny is working with what he has got and has done a good job so far.
Results despite Sunday have picked up.
The squad is not good enough, and it doesnt matter whose fault that is.
We do need a major overhaul but could get away with bringing in 3 first team players and being competitive again.
United have players that arent good enough, but they also have more good players than we have also.
We need pace in the side. Ashley Young would be a major signing. A player that can play either side and would scare opposing defences.
A centre half and a left back are also a must.
Enrique at Newcastle looks a solid enough player and that Tawao from Marseille is out of contract at the end of the season and is a solid player.
The centre half one is more difficult as they are hard to come by.
Liked the look of Tomkins for West Ham the other day to be honest.
Sabre looks like a big lezzer
