THE OFFICIAL KENNY DALGLISH THREAD - Return of the King

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Id rather get relegated with Kenny than have that classless c*nt at Liverpool.

Of course, if you wanna watch negative football, promote cheating and spend hundreds of millions...he might be the solution.

I'll tell you exactly what will happen here. Kenny will take the reigns permanent for at least the next 5 years then if He decides he's done his bit and gracefully moves over for a younger man to take over...      Steve Clarke.   He will be our next manager. Promoted from within, just like it used to be.

Dalglish has given us back what we had lost, that these guys took from us, and thats the beleif that Liverpool can compete and are still very important. Weve been dumbed down for way too long and to a degree bought right into it thinking these guys where right, but they where wrong, and Daggers returned our self esteem. Liverpool are back mentally, we are all awake again and ready to build roads back to the top.

Rubbish. How on earth can you group Hodgsen in the same category as Rafa? Under Rafa we were top dogs in Europe and came as close as any other manager in the last 10 years to winning the league. Under Roy we were flirting with relegation and resigned to mediocrity performances even at home.

From FSG's perspective I don't think they really have any choice but to offer Dalglish the position full time. I think if they went with someone else after Kenny has brought back so much belief it could sour the realtionship with fans, after they have done so much good to win back the fans faith. Not that I don't think Kenny should get it though, on the contrary he desrves it fully. Just saying...

Even if Kenny is manager for 5 years and turns things round I'm not convinced Clarke will be the next boss. I suspect it may well be someone like Coyle although Clarke would be an obvious candidate if things go well long term.

He's getting the job and deserves it! No one knows LFC better than the King....he is LFC through and through.I dare say he's been watching for years and been frustrated as a fan and just wanted the chance to change things. Now he has been given it he has came in and been ruthless cause he cares.Konchesky (sh'ite) out .....Babel (waste of space) out.....Torres (rent boy) out....Carroll and Suerez in!
The fact he brought two strikers in is a sign of his intent. He wants the old LFC back as we do! Let teams worry about us not vice versa...Attack them it does not matter who they are, enough of the caution and fear of conceding.
After an initial hiccup we now have 4 wins and 4 clean sheets....the team is happy, confident, defence solid, our passion is back, they want to play for LFC and want to win, pride is back...all this could be seen on Sunday when we bossed Chelsea in their own back yard!

Give him the job for as long as he wants it.......LEGEND!!  :bowdown

described morihno perfectly.
he has no class and shouldn't be even vaguely associated with our club.

Moureen is a top class manager... I cant see how that can be disputed. Whether he is right for Liverpool is another matter... and as for the money - he certainly did ok at Porto with a far smaller budget.

My two penny worth is, that I would love to see Kenny stay on for at least three full seasons. After that its down to him how long he wants to stay for, but I would love to see the baton passed on to Carra if he is ready at some point.

mourinho has little to no chance at all of being a candidate for our top job ever since kenny stepped in. his name was thrown about as a candidate to replace roy, and i was intrigued and a little excited to be honest, with the notion of mourinho coming back to the england at the head of the one team that so many countless times proved to be his undoing.

but with kenny at the helm, there is actually NO ONE ELSE ON THIS PLANET that any real liverpool fan would have as the man to guide us, and be our leader.

mourinho coming to liverpool would've been the stuff dramas would've been made off. literally exchanging torres for mourinho. it would've been liverpool vs chelsea all day everyday.

but king kenny coming back to resurrect us from the dead. that sir, is a fairytale. a fairytale we're all living in. he's come back, pass and move and all, but more importantly he brought back the "boot room feel" that the club lost after he left. he is everything that we need.

mourinho :  :upside:

kenny dalglish :  :bowdown

end of post.

-----

but as for the baton passing and all of that. i'd like to see steve clarke given a go before carra.  :D

my how far we fans think ahead.

Heard a little whisper the other day that Mourinho is already sorted and will be coming in the summer. That's why steve clarke was taken on to sort the place out for him coming . All this is with kenny's blessing.
