we are or were playing the same type of football and the getting the same results at the end of last season, its nothing to do with roy killing he players confidence, Rafa done a good job of that himself when he tried to replace good players with :censored: players.

lets forget about Rafa and Roy.

Journalist: Did you have a positive meeting with them. Did they outline the clear strategy they have for the future of the club?

Kenny ..They are good people. We had a positive meeting yesterday with John (Henry) and Tom (Werner) in which we discussed many things. One of them was obviously transfers. There's no problem with transfers. As long as we are responsible we can go and look for players, try to sign them and bring them in here. I'm not going to sit here and give you names or comment on every question that is asked about an individual player. We certainly won't talk about sums of money. Every time I go into the transfer market I am responsible and I will continue to be. I will try and spend the club's money as diligently as I would spend my own.

Journalist: One name that does keep cropping up, though, is Luis Suarez. Has there been any development with that?

Kenny...I'd have thought you misheard me

When we finished 2nd in 08/09 season, all of us fans thought we were in for a chance to win the league in 09/10 but we flopped and finished 7th. There are many many, too much reasons on why we declined and went against all expectations.

The departure of Alonso (who was a great passer and reminded me of Souness) and Mascherano who was a good defensive midfielder. Suitable replacements were not found to replace them.

I can sense the positive change in the attitude of the players but Liverpool still has a long.......long way to go to recover from the decline. King Kenny is the best person to appoint to get us out of the mess and if he cannot do it, no one can, not even Mourinho.

I would love to see us getting 3 points against Wolves tomorrow but I don't think so, reasons being:
we are still recuperating,
Stevie G not playing,
Torres still has no suitable strike partner(I hope L.Suarez will be here before 31 Jan),
it's an away game,
defence is horrible,
maybe, just maybe KK is suffering from lack of coaching fitness like a player suffering from match fitness after not having played for some time.

I'll be satisfied with another draw but playing much better football compare to the better to be forgotten Hodgson short era. Yes, Liverpool is in such a pitiful state now when back to our heydays, a win against a bottom club even at their home ground was to be taken for granted. Now, I am satisfied with a draw. I look forward to better times with the new owners and hopefully with Kenny still in charge.

The reason why I would love to see Kenny continuing to be in charge is because I've noticed he likes to buy class players to work with and he's willing to pay the price to get them. Remember when he signed Beadsley for 2 million back in '87 which was a British record at the time? He also signed J.Barnes, G.Hysen, Aldridge, Houghton etc.

I hope that if he stays, he can rebuild another formidable team like the 87/88 side where visitors were often thrashed 3-0, 4-0 at Anfield and even Brazil would have been afraid to play us.

Well, I'm goin to watch the Wolves game live soon and I hope we can get the much needed 3 points, but I don't think so. I'll be relieved with another draw unless the defence has improved, Stevie is playing and someone like Suarez to partner Torres. I wonder we can get that much needed Suarez bloke or not by end of transf. window

I think the biggest change Kenny is making is the mentality of the players. Looks like it's starting to work too.

We've seen notable improvements in the play of Mereiles and Johnson under Kenny.  Two quality players who had lost their way a little bit until he arrived.  He's also giving kids like Kelly and Shelvey some real belief that they have a place in the side.  With Torres hotting up again it looks like we are starting to see some green shoots of recovery under Dalglish.  Add a few signings in the next week and we'll be pointing back in the right direction once more.
