Skrtl was totally at fault for 1st goal. Virtually lifted distin up to head the ball. Shocking.
I said we shouldnt sit back and that just what we did at the start of the second half. We should have been more aware of what they were going to do. All in all we deserved to win but a draw is better than nothing. Confidence is creeping back and Johnson had his best game for a year.

Skrtel needs to be shifted out of the side asap.
He was watching the player instead of the ball for Distins goal and was weak for the second in that challenge.
That wasnt the first time he had totally lost his man from a set piece. He did the exact same thing with Fellaini earlier.
Accident waiting to happen he is.

Not only does Skrtel need shipping out, we need to be shot of the likes of Kuyt, Soto, Lucas, Maxi, Babel, etc. Agger too, is becoming a pointless addition, akin to Philip Degen in the number of sicks notes he's stacked up at this stage. These below average dead wood merchants are compounded by Roy's Konchesky and Jovanovic, who we could do without too.

With players of that caliber in the side, Liverpool can kiss 4th spot goodbye for a long, long time...no matter who the manager is. As for actually winning the Prem, well that could be another 20 years away.  :(

Agreed, Skrtel is total rubbish!! But even more worrying is that Dan Agger is so light-weight. If hes not injured, he's feeling unwell. We will seriously need to build from the back in the summer.

All in all a massive rebuilding period ahead in what will be Liverpools biggest transitional period since Souness took over in 91. Cos we may also need to replace Reina & Torres in the summer if the soundings of them wanting out are true from them both.

Massive change ahead. Lets just hope we can stay in the premier league with the majority of passengers we got.

I know it's like Aquilani all over again with Agger.

I think Agger is talked up by many redz because he's a ''modern'' centre-back. The new mould who's good on the deck and likes to bring the ball out from defence.

Personally I'd rather a Henchoz or Hyypia over the Dane anyday as it's all well and good doing the pretty stuff. But them boys are in that position to defend first and foremost, and defensively compared to Henchoz, Hyypia and Carra in his pomp there is no comparison for me. Also I'd take Samba, Hangerland or Turner over Agger personally, if I had too.

IF he was partnered with a proper defender like Samba or Hangerland THEN he might look the part more. But in a partnership, you need to stay fit and Agger's on the cusp of making Aquilani looking like bionic man, which defeats the purpose anyway.

Even though Jamie Carragher's game has declined in the last 18 months or so, he is still the best defender at this club, and at club the size  of Liverpool, that shouldn't be the case.

Jovanovic is Rafas signing.

It is becoming more and more apparent that we have a fecking awful team, let alone squad.
The only players I rate are Torres, Gerrard, Kelly and Reina.
Now out of those players the only one who will remain after the summer is Kelly and maybe Gerrard so unless we have massive investment then LFC are fecked. I am not feeling positive about this, the best case scenario, with big investment, is 5 years until we can challenge for the prem title, worst caseis we become another Preston North End, living on former glories.

BTW I'm not a wum but I'm seriously depressed about the current situation, thanks Rafa and Hicks/Gillett for destroying the team I love.

THere have been reports that Claudio Rainieri have been approached to possibly replace Kenny next summer.

Anyone support him replacing Kenny if Kenny wants to continue?

Reds make Downing approach SSN

Skysports.com understands Liverpool have made an approach to sign Aston Villa winger Stewart Downing.

The England international has impressed for Villa this season and has been an ever-present for the club in the Premier League.

He is Villa's top scorer with five goals in the league and is understood to have been the subject of an enquiry from Sunderland last week.

The 26-year-old is now being targeted by Liverpool as new manager Kenny Dalglish seeks to inject some fresh blood into his squad.

Downing cost Villa £12million from Middlesbrough 18 months ago and he has made 64 appearances after injury delayed the start of his career in the Midlands.

Villa boss Gerard Houllier revealed last month that he was confident that he would be able to retain the services of Downing during the January transfer window.

However, Villa's pursuit of Sunderland striker Darren Bent could prompt the club to consider letting Downing move on.

An offer of £18million is reported to have been made for Bent and cashing in on Downing would provide some of the funds to bring in his fellow England international.

While i dont want Kenny to continue as the manager after the summer i dont think Ranieri is a good choice.
