Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I hope Kenny can bring the simile back to our faces, and have a bright future.

GOOD LUCK KENNY:D

This may be a funny comment, but Kennys team back in the day never really had that flambouancy in midfield.. Mcmahon, Whelan et al were all good workers and he got the best from them.. we played simple yet very attractive one and two touch football that was well ahead of its time..

We have Lucas, Gerrard et al.. I think that Kenny will get the best out of us..

It is good to see him back, also good to see a manager who can final shut the media up and have them in his pocket. That's what a good manager does and in doing so inspires the team and take the pressure off them.

We made up for that with the wingers though mate i,e Barnes,Beardsley.

I would not be surprised if he gets the best out of Babel

I think that was my point but you saw what i did not type!

In a nutshell I feel we have a manager who is big enough, hell this guy has become LFC and if anyone can inspire our players he can.

If only we had him in charge when Fowler, Owen, McManaman & Redknapp were coming through the ranks in the 90's.

Ah well we have him now. Heres to a bright future.

Purslow and Broughton got it right with NESV but bungled big time appointing Hodgson. Thank god the club did this now otherwise it could have been too late and we could have ended up in the championship next season.

after all the hurt of the last few years its just seems so right that with new owners in place its Kenny thats come in and brought us all together again, the club is finally in the right hands.

John W Henry you have done a trully great thing for after all Kenny had done for us during the glory days and then through the clubs darkest hour its now fitting that he gets to take the hot seat one last time, if anybody deserves it then its Kenny.

i agree mate,we may have a big,big thank you to NESV but certainly not to broughton imo, cause he certainly made a massive mistake in the descision process with hodgson. so in future-people that make descisions that are major with the FC,need to think before they act-then hopefully will won't have to suffer another 4 years of civil war ever again!

i'm still buzzin with KK back at the helm, but like thousands of other suporters,i'm miffed at why he wasn't given the job in the first place & saved alot of us the heart ache we suffered under hodgson.

Not being involved for 10 years won't set him back much.  What's the difference? maybe he wasn't always at training to see what things work and what don't, but that's what he's got all of his staff for.  You think he was sitting there watching every single Liverpool game and not thinking, Hmm I don't think I would have started this guy, or, I think we need to sub this guy, or putting together his own tactics and ideas in his head?  Of course he was thinking these things.  It hasn't changed much and he has been there the whole time.  Just because he wasn't involved doesn't mean he blanked out of the game.

I was still backing RH, but I can't say I'm disappointed now that Dalglish is back. Spirits seemed so much higher. Can't wait to see what he can do.

Let's hope this is a "full circle" turnaround for us. Last time Kenny was manager, Liverpool was indisputably the top team in England. Alex Ferguson's task was to topple us and make ManU the top instead. He's done that and now Kenny's back, so ironically his task now is to topple ManU and restore us back to the pinnacle!

You can't deny the feel-good factor he brings. Here's hoping a lot of that rubs off our players. Because past few games, a lot of them did not seem to want to play for RH. I am betting most of them now would want to play for Kenny.

I am in my 40s and I've seen the signing of KD from Celtic in summer of '77 on the tele as a 12 yr old, all his glory days as a player and manager, his shocking resignation 20 yrs ago and the decline of our club since then together with the farcical off field incidents with H & G. We thought they were saviours but they were in fact from hell.

The club is entering a new era now with new owners who cleared the debt, replaced Hodgson, re-appointed Kenny BUT, BUT fans CANNOT expect instant miracle from Kenny. Five months Jan to May 2011 is not long enough for anyone to revive the fortunes of Lvp. The club's problem is too chronic for a fast solution.

The King is pushing 60 yrs old now and if he still has the burning passion, stamina and the resilience to withstand the stresses of the game like his younger days here, I'd like to see him here for the long term to bring us back the glory days and be the Next Shankly, who else would be more fitting for that title than our Beloved Kenny?

In the meantime, pls don't expect miracles. As long as Lvp under Kenny can perform better than the brief Hodgson  tenure that's good enough for me.

Long Live Liverpool and Kenny

u meant KD?
if a football manager has all heart but no technical ability then we are screwed.
rafa has a great football brain but no heart.
roy hodgson has a little bit of both.
kenny daglish has all heart but maybe rusty bit on the technical side.
hopefully steve clark can ease him back into the "modern' game asap, n we will hv a v powerful manager for years to come.
